There is no way they can justify banning Astana because of Bruyneel. I can understand banning a team that was caught last year if the management and riders were the same this year. But basing the ban on the name of the sponsor is stupid. I suspect we'll see an appeal on this. What if the entire Astana team from last year went to another team? What if Astana backed out as a sponsor and another sponsor stepped in? Would the ban still be in place?
