I'm a white Christian male, have a great wife and know everything. But don't let that fool you, I tolerate gays and think it's okay for them to get married and have sex. By the way you women have my permission to post here.

Blonderunner,
If you don't take the "stupid things guys say" seriously, then you are naive beyond belief. If you're 18, then pretty much any boy or man you meet over the age of 15 wants to get in your pants. Believe it, know it, protect yourself.
I can't speak for Blonderunner, I think she may have meant that she doesn't take what guys say seriously as she doesn't let it bother her.
There is nothing wrong in my opinion with calling yourself something on this board that reflects your sexuality. Most posters choose names to reflect something about themselves, gender is part of that identity. I see no need for Blondrunner or Runnerbabe to have to defend their name selection. It was stated by Tara that it was a personal pet peeve, so how can you say a pet peeve is wrong. But I would feel a little attacked if I were either of the two mentioned above. Blonderunner probably is blonde and Runnerbabe probably is a babe.
"I don't think you're truly a man until you're married with 2 kids and you take responsibility for your marriage and those two kids."
????????

and I am a 16x
Monty,
What's to get? You're not a REAL man in my opinion until you get married and have at least two kids - then you get to claim to be a man. It takes a real man to be a good father and a good husband. You can't just get someone pregnant twice either - you've got to actually spend the time to be with them and help them learn how to become responsible productive adults.
Speaking of that, I have a soccer practice to go to.

I use the name Blonderunner only because its been part of my sn for the past 2 years and i don't really see anything wrong with this.
And personally as an 18 yr old college student i enjoy flaunting my sexuality and i don't really take the stupid things guys say to seriously. I also don't mind being called a girl, probably cause i still consider myself a girl sometimes and like to enjoy my youth and act like a kid sometimes (ex: my friends and i went sledding this winter and we were by far the oldest "kids" there but we had so much fun)
And although this is in the past, I think its a little hypocritical to say were trying to say were trying to make ourselves a sex symbol when you posted pics of yourself in very little clothes.
I kno the majority of women on this board are older then me and probably don't share my views but i figured i'd put this out there and see if we can get the women talking more and get their opinions.
Blonderunner, Some flaunting of sexuality is okay, but is that really the most important feature of your identity? I'm sorry but you're coming off like the ditzy "girl" your name implies.
I'm 19 myself and I'd like to have something going for me other than my sexuality. But maybe your name is indeed appropriate for you. I just said it's a personal dislike that I have. You're free to post under any name you like, just don't expect to earn a lot of respect with that name and posts like the above.
Again, Jasonlover was a PARODY.
Marython and 16x -- I disagree. Fastwomen is more than a "small or perhaps large groups of high school girls" -- even if they are the ones who are mostly posting. You two could add a great amount of insight to the board...if you're already regular lurkers why not post as well?? Who cares if it is young readership -- it's helping the younger girls with their own competitiveness and learning in general which is never a bad thing.
And what's the point in promising yourself you'll never post there again?? Big deal if you do or dont -- and if there's a topic other than 'interesting race result' that you'd like to post on, why not?
Are there any womyn on this board?
I'd post on fastwomen, but the name implies that I am not welcome. I can honor exclusivity if that's what they want.
just b/c it's called fastwomen doesnt mean you're not welcome. There are a few guys who post over there too! Likewise, I post occasionally on mensracing -- [welcome or not!]
Ike Low,
With use of language like that it's a good thing that you aren't a father. Certainly a fine decision to make if you decide not to have children - not everyone is cut out for fatherhood, but you can't fully realize what it is to be a man unless you do have children (at least two, or one with special needs). Just my opinion, you don't have to agree. Those of you who are single and boast of 100+ mile weeks don't know what hard work is until you have a family that you care for and about. That part of it is not opinion - that is fact.
When doing repeat 600s, how much time do you take between ... oh, shit, sorry, though this was a running board
When you are doing 600's for anaerobic work, rest periods should be approximately the amount of time it takes for your breasts to feel good again, then time to go....
THAT was funny!
What if you are unable to have children? You are joking here right?
Monty,
If a person is unable to have children and they really want them then I have all the sympathy in the world for them, but they could still adopt, and that counts. It is the act of caring for them that makes you a man, not propogating your DNA.
And no, I am not joking. Being an involved parent is easily the hardest thing you can possibly do, and in my opinion, you aren't fully a man until you do this (takes at least 2 chlidren for you to get the full effect).
Real men do the following:
1) Love their wives (that would be 1 wife per man)
2) Love their children
3) Provide for their families (this could be as a stay at home Dad by the way while the wife makes money)
4) Provide a loving and nurturing environment for their children which allows them to excel in school and extracurriculars
There are more things that real men do too, but the above 4 items are necessary to be a man. You can be 80 years old, but if you've not raised children, you aren't a man as far as I'm concerned (military service might be the only other thing that could qualify you as a man without children).

I'm w/you on your 4 points above but differ w/you after that and your quota of 2 kids to qualify as a REAL man. Your heart is in the right place but fails to allow for a much wider and deserved interpretation of what makes a REAL man.
"And what's the point in promising yourself you'll never post there again??" i have said to myself in the past "oh i will not post here anymore. I'm tired of the way people treat other people on here."then I went and posted. So I promise myself not to do it anymore. It makes me happier and I dont get all pissed off, waiting to read what people likes.I do think fast-women is boring, but one reason I left is because there became a barrage of personal attacks everywhere and I felt like I was getting involved in it.Obviously, that is happening on here too, in case you havent read the rude ass message about me--that I still cant figure out what he is referring to.

Falgpole, so there's no place on earth for single men... if they want to be considered "real men" that is....?
Does that mean there's no place for single women if they want to be "real women"?
So basically everyone has to reproduce to be considered "real"?
