I agree. I cannot believe the University has let all this happen. The U of O president should have put a stop to it imediately. What is next? - A instructor in the medical school being forced out by a drug company? I have known Al for twenty five years and I have lost all respect for him over this issue. He has shameless pursed coaching jobs (at University of Portland also) by using NIKE money as a big stick. It stinks and it is a morally corrupt tactic that should be exposed as such. Under no circumstances should Al ever be alowed near the U of O program. Al has stooped lower then I could ever imagine. He was willing to go to any length to win as an athlete so I guess his currant behavior shouldn't be so surprising to us all.
While I never bought into Martin's aproach, this out come is indeed sad for the Oregon program.
