Rep to Miac Monday, perhaps he had some inside informatioin?
Wow, close finish 2-4. Wish I could have seen that battle. Congrats to the Hamdogs, watch out for the Oles in 2 weeks.
Yup, I guess I am "an stupid." Way to look at the 5 words you contributed before pressing post...
Anyway, they hadn't really shown that they were capable of racing that well yet this year. It was a surprise, but certainly an impressive day for Hamline across the board. Also, even though everyone had to endure it, the conditions were not ideal today, which can easily throw people off, but Hamline clearly didn't let it effect them. I mean, look at UST: where was their 5th? And Olaf: Ruon racing better, instead of 1:14 slower than last year, could have won it for them. And Carleton, where was Gamble? Augsburg: Sanchez? SJU: Noack and Stevens? Every team seemingly had something go wrong, except Hamline.
Also, Hamline had #2 and 6, not 2 and 5.
Did any else catch Wareham going ape shit?
"WE WERE RIGHT THERE!!!"
Although he has tamed in recent years, he's still entertaining...I haven't seen him break an umbrella against a tree in at least three years!
haha, that's great. i wish i saw that. shout out to coach barker and augsburg, improving to 4th this year (best in school history) after their 9th place last year. look for them in top 5 at region meet. that's where their top 5 will all have their races come together, fo sho.
Yes, there are always a lot of "what-ifs". The bottom line is that hamline peaked right when it counts. That is why looking at early season results are always deceptive. Props to them for proper execution.
Yeah I was super wasted when I typed that. You still are dumb for counting out Hamline. Jacka$$

Now that the conference meets are done, thoughts on the regional meet? I think it is at Grinnell again?
I doubt Hamline can run much better, simply because their race at conference was so perfect, it's hard to replicate such outstanding performances from everybody. If Stevens and Noack get closer to past performances St. Johns could do well like last year. Olaf's got a good shot if Ruon's back doesn't lock up or whatever. In the region overall, Nebraska Wesleyan seems the clear favorite.

How many teams make it out this year? 3-4? Wesleyan, Grinnell, Olaf, Hamline, ST Thomas, SJU, Augsburg, Luther, Coe?? will all be in the mix. Probably 1 or 2 Miac teams qualify. Wesleyan and Luther should qualify.
how about that dan greeno kid? 34 second win while be chased by a dog....
I had to work 12 jobs to pay for my Carleton education, hence did not gain full knowledge of personal computer navigation, etc. during my 4 years in Northfield. Great work to the athletes, coaches, and meet workers this weekend.
He ran great, as he has all year. I saw Ruon try to challenge him early but then Dobuol fell off hard. The funny thing was the next time they came around his teammate was the one with the gap on the rest of the field.
Congrats to Greeno for finally winning one. Results could look a lot different in two weeks. Or they could be the same. You just never know. Again, any of the top 5 teams from Saturday could make it to NCAA's.
Central Region will either get 3 or 4 teams. My guess is 4 and Olaf will be the top MIAC team. SJU will do better, but will not repeat the same magic as last year that sent them to NCAA's.

wow what a race. great effort by the Hawdawgs - reminiscent of their "glory days." STO just missing them...tough day for ruon or else they probably win. who did STU think their 5th runner was going to be? And SJU...apparently not the "mudders" we thought.
This is just stupid. If any runners considered that a "muddy" course, they should wipe the sand out of their vag. SJU races well in mud because they race smart in those conditions and they train on trails more often than any other team.
