I have been listening to alot of these blogs and decided that anything that generates this much interest is for me. Sorry guys I just registerd today.
Let me see if I understand you.
You find a "blog" on the Internet pointing out potential problems with a new race that has never been run.
You then check into the race only to discover the website of that race seems to show a lack of knowledge about running and contains numerous errors including: referring to a 13.1 mile race as a "13.1 marathon" and allowing people the option to run a "5k marathon" (a mistake that is still there by the way) and then after one of the "5k marathon" references was fixed it was changed to the "5k mile" run.
When you find out people are skeptical of the claims that in its 1st year the race will be the biggest marathon in the USA with 40,000 people - making it bigger than Boston, Chicago, New York... you decide "I am going to sign up for the race because it generated so much interest?"
Then after all this you appear to sign up for a marathon on a whim. Nobody but a fool signs up for a marathon a whim, but then again, it does seem consistent with the above logic you employ.
The fact that the interest seems negative is of no concern to you?
Sorry, I don't believe a word you "blogged."
