can wait?
can wait?
How far's sept away?
Friday is Sept 1st
That's right..so I can wait
I'm going to be slowly adding some videos to my site and fixing links. The 96 Olympic 5K is going to be the first one I update.
... I'm a college student-athlete so inbetween running and school it's hard to find time for this, but I'll get to it as soon as I find the time.
before any legal action is commenced against you, video poster, you would receive a letter--then you would be subject to some sort of injunction--threats always come before lawsuits, which are the primary mode for imposing fees or fines for violations--think about this. youtube is currently hosting allllll kinds of copyrighted videos, and seem no worse for the wear. don't sweat it. some jag-off first-year law student decided they would try to flex some of their superiority muscle.
as long you're not profiting from this in any direct way, no one is going to pay the slightest bit of attention--especially to a track broadcast.

I've had the 96 Olympic 5k on my site for about a year :-)
Thanks for the upload but it goes corrupt for me at about 6 minutes into the video. Anyone else have this issue and how can I fix it?

That's exactly the way I figured it. I'm not hosting the Rose Bowl National Championship Game or anything... it's just videos of a sport that isn't all that popular to begin with. I'm just doing it for the running community, no profit trying to be made.
I'll try to rehost the 96 5K on YouTube.com just incase anyone else is having problems downloading it and having it come out corrupt.

You must've taken it down then I presume? Ha I'm not trying to compete with "who has the most videos", infact your site is linked on the bottom of my page as another source to find more videos. :)
Thanks - If you can put it on Youtube that would be great.
I remember them days when the Brits ruled the world

this is a clip from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show for 1984. Every December the BBC reviews the sporting year and how us Brits performed, so this might be of interest mainly for those from Blighty. BBC have put most of these year reviews on the net for anyone to see. Of the circa 75 minute shows about 15 minutes was given over to athletics highlights, but you will have to locate where they are in the shows as it varies.
