Against my better judgement.... i am posting on this thread.
First off, thanks to all that came out and supported, it meant a lot to see all those people there to cheer me and the other guys on. Second, thanks to my coach for putting on this meet. And lastly, thanks to Doug Todd and Tim O Rourke for volunteering their facility(and everyone else that made this event possible)... it was an awesome venue and im glad we were able to put the event together there.
Now, in response to all the posters here...
Yes i did fall short of the goal we set out. We were gunning for sub 4 and we missed, and in my book and im sure a lot of others, by a lot. This event was hyped up (a lot) and im sure a lot of you were veyr happy to see that i didn't reach my goal. Understable. Im not gonna worry about addressing all the naysayers... hey you won, i didn't break 4. Your prize is waiting for you!
To all the people that were here to support me, thank you very much. It was very much appreciated and i hope you had as much fun as i did(minus that last 109m).
Again, thanks to all the supporters, event coordinators, the competitors, my coach and Dyestat and yes even Letsrun. Dyestat did an awesome job hyping up the event and with all the coverage, and i thank wejo for the blurb on the front page (and the good luck), i thought that was pretty cool! Thank you again for your time and support.

Hey AJ you're faster than 99% of the posters on here, congrats on the time and you'll break 4 minutes soon enough!

Steve, you're right on the money. I know it's tempting, but try not to let idiots like Gideon get under your skin too much. Essentially, he's no better than the jerks who write computer viruses: they obviously have some talent, and quite a bit of time on their hands, and yet they choose to devote their efforts to making other people's life miserable. It's much more pathetic than it is amusing.
Contrary to what some of the condescending bozos have said, you and John Dye run a great web site. Anything that promotes the sport so thoroughly can't be a bad thing...kudos on all of your efforts.

AJ, you are still a class act...very well said. While your effort may have come up short of your ultimate goal, you still ran a very nice PR, and the last time I checked there are very few U.S. high school runners (about 18 of them) who have ever run faster than that. Ignore the pompous "haters," and take satisfaction in yet another stellar effort! Best of luck as you prep for your first season with Vin up in Eugene.
