Keely Hodgkinson to run the 400M in Rome DL. What time you got...?

Yeah, I always felt if Keely was going to do a 400 it should have been at a Gold or Silver level meet not at a DL with the top end speedy girls. The Sky Sports segment with Jenny and Trev also hyped the sub 50 potential to the hilt. UK media doing the build them up to knock them down as ever. UK champs should be a good indicator of potential for 4x4 relay at the Euros. Keely ranked fourth in the UK at the moment behind Yemi, Amber and Laviai.

I'm sorry this is where I just don't understand the theory from Painter/Meadows.

Enough with these 400's - they are utterly meaningless for her. And sure, she's probably going to go and run 50.8 or 50.9 - but that's not going to be an indication of any altering to her 800m potential one bit. It's like they have this obsession with trying to prove to the world she has this raw, elite anaerobic power - and she just doesn't.

If she went and ran the 1500m and snagged a medal in a tactical 4.0X race and was competitive with GHB - that means something and is more telling of her potential in the 800m. Plus maybe her legs and system just need a rest from being blasted in anaerobic environments like 4 and 800 meters.

Not understanding this logic here.
