Did Mike Rossi (viral marathon dad) cheat his way into Boston?

Do you really think that the LVM Rossi DQ Committee hadn't heard about the lack of photo evidence prior to today?

Is there some shocking new evidence in the stale Brojo article?

Face it - they had compelling evidence months ago, and chose to do nothing.

Rather than do that, perhaps instead you can explain how any of this is new or different to what the LVM already reviewed.

Let me help you out here: nobody thinks Mikey ran the race. So you (and everyone else here) don't have to keep typing up your brilliant thoughts on why you feel his lack of photos means something. We get it. We got it two months ago.

What you need to wrap your head around is that the LVM decided (or more likely was advised by legal council) that although there was no way in hell Mikey actually ran the race, there was no conclusive proof, so DQing him wouldn't be worth the pain the LVM would have to go through.

Yeah, he could sue. Mikey would probably lose, but charities don't like to be named in lawsuits.

The poorly written, way late, published on a joke of a website, rambling article doesn't change anything I've written above.

Deal with it.

I don't think the value is in presenting new evidence. The race committee has plenty, as we all do, to know that he cheated.

First, there is value in publicly calling him a cheater (in no uncertain terms) because it puts the onus on Rossi to respond. He claimed he was lawyered up and that there was clear defamation in the early days of this affair. Well, if he ran the race then he should be suing. He won't. We all know why.

Second, we can use this to put pressure on the race committee. Email the people involved, share this article with media, both running-related and local to the marathon, and share it on every running-related discussion board you know of. The race committee might not issue a disqualification but the next committee faced with the next obvious cheater will.

Third, if we link the hell out of this article it will come up high on Google searches alongside those terrible articles that claim he was "cleared." (He wasn't cleared, he just wasn't disqualified and there is a difference). So let's get something up there on Google that tells it like it is.
