In a nutshell: People do not feel great fires of hate or love toward Joe Biden.
Which sounds bad, but in a 2 party system, with so many votes locked up and only a few at play, not alienating people seems to be Joe's electoral magic.
This survey finds that sure, Joe's approval ratings are falling. But most just mildly disapprove, suggesting they can be won back, and that in the end they would vote for the D over the monster Trump.
The conventional wisdom is that a candidate needs to light fire in people to win. That's why so many spankists yell things like 'Joe's rallies were tiny therefore the only explanation of how he won is that he cheated.' Well politics is more complicated than that, spanky fans.
