Biden says it will take 97%+ vaccination rate to reach herd immunity.

This guy is out of his mind. A complete idiot. We don't have 98% of anything. He's set up an impossible vax rate to justify any and all government overreach into our personal lives.

I'm vaxxed and wish others would get vaxxed as well, but this guy is hurting the cause not helping.

Has there been any consequence for all of Joe's sweetheart real estate deals or all of the nepotism-driven paydays for Hunter? They don't call Joe "the big guy" for nothing.

Joe does say some stupid stuff that is wrong. He always has - he's been a gaffe machine for decades.

But policy doesn't follow his errors in speaking.

The policy is based on experts and what can and can't be done.

I mean he said 97% and that's obviously wrong but it's not going affect policy.

So what happens if/when the Dems start playing by the R rules?

What happens when the Dems refuse to fund the budget or confirm judges or tell the truth?

Can the country survive if both parties go full evil? Up to now the Dems have been the adults in the room while the Rs act like spoiled babies. I think those times are ending and the Dems will feel they have to play dirty too. Watch the Dems gerrymander the Rs out of many districts this fall. They got tired of being punched by amoral Rs so they are going to the dark side also.

I suppose an optimist would say that if the Dems confront the Rs will power, the Rs will have to come to the table and beg for relief, promising not to act badly anymore. Because the Rs are the minority party - a lot fewer of them than there are Ds.

After being baffled by the Ds lack of political game for so long I have become more cynical and started to believe that strategically, as a party they don't actually want to fight hard for the ability to really turn this country around. They are neither motivated enough nor do they have enough objectivity, leadership and skill to take hold of the country.

It is not possible to make any progress with the current GQP. With the number of seats they hold and the low likelihood that the Ds can obtain a super majority in the foreseeable future, the only thing the Ds should be focused on is destroying the GQP. If they don't destroy them, the country will keep sliding and faster. Enforcing law and order would be a good start. Where the fk is Garland????? There are open criminals in power all over and Ds are sitting on their a$$es still playing victim.

Collectively, I really don't think they care much.

it's a mars vs venus situation...Dems don't run for office to fight and shout and scream. They run for office to create policy.

Rs are the reverse. They don't like policy, they don't like government, so they just want to fight.

The Dems have been trying to run a normal government and following normal rules, but the Rs esp mitch just want to fight and break norms. So the Dems will have to lower themselves to the gutter to get things done. Stinks but that's where we are.

No worries. The Ds are WAY too incompetent to reach the level of full evil.

3. Stop doing anything that would scare off suburban white women

4. Then go hardball on gerrymandering, get rid of the fillibuster, fix the electoral vote counting bill, pass a voting rights bill. Get Breyer to retire.

5. Is there some way to scoot along the trump prosecutions? Not sure if that is unethical but come on. He's guilty of multiple tax issues. And go to a grand jury on his election tampering in AZ and esp GA.
