The multiple real-time Garmin + Strava data was conceived and proven out by Pete Kostelnick. Others may have helped him come up with what someone termed a "bombproof" documentation method. It has been called the Gold Standard for obvious reasons.
But the above is not all that was done. There are also a huge number of photos taken—Sandy posted, on Strave, more than 30 photos each of the last two days, and they are GPS spotted. Mimi does not have any GPS position photos she is sharing.
Pete K. also had many random people me meet sign statements that they saw him running along. I assume Sandy is doing the same—Pete K. is her documentation advisor, plus her ultra-expert guru—, but I do not know if she is.
Finally, Pete K. encouraged people to randomly join him at any point and time during his run (unannounced). Several did, and he always showed up based on the his real-time Garmin data, which you can open in any web browser on any smart phone. This makes it convenient for a random person to join and be forced to take a wild goose-chase looking for a runner. The burden is on the person doing the run, and not on the random follower.

Honestly no it doesn't. Listen I know you guys think we're blinded fanboys over here and in all honesty that's fair enough. I know why it hasn't been uploaded and it's an entirely innocent explanation but one you'd dismiss in a second. And it's also not for me to say.
I get your scepticism, I really do. I defended RY and Amy Young and I was wrong on both counts. But I didn't know them and I know Mimi. She's a friend and I'll defend my friends integrity to anyone.

Notice that Mimi's run data from yesterday Sept. 26 is also not on her Movescount page as of right now. The last upload to her Movescount is the 35.27 km run from Sept. 25th. This provides strong evidence to reject the notion that some of the URC posters are saying it is a sync issue between Movescount and Strava. Mimi's team is not even uploading the run data at all anywhere in a timely manner.
From her blog it looks as though three crew members are driving to Denver Airport today
That leaves possibly just her husband on the scene....

Because Mimi's data collection method is the pits are you will to tell her to stop claiming she is on a record run. To do the run for self enjoyment? Change course. Skip NYC. Pick another destination--Maybe the Maine-Canada border; a almost-corner to corner USA run, which has never been done, but is some 600-800 more kilometres more. Make the run about meeting people along the way, not all about Mimi. Switch her run into a personal adventure story, and write a book about it.
Mimi does have an option to turn a mess of a run into something worthy of the sponsors and donors who are supporting her.

Her Sunday Strava shows she ran short for the afternoon. Yesterday's Strava is missing, but her run day was the longest so far. She definitely slowed slowed.
Rather than completely give up, my suggestion to Mimi is in my previous post. She can take a few days to recover. She can convert her effort into an across the USA adventure run. Meet people who are interesting and unusual; characters. Write a book about it with a focus on the people she meet.

This is my concern. The tracking and uploading seems so haphazard and not befitting the effort any transcon runner would need to be putting in. Tech fails can happen but the lack of info on what the actual intended process and backup process is to begin with undermines any legitimacy.

Gary, I can respect you for siding with Mimi as a friend. But I don't think all the suspicion will go away unless we get some reasonable explanations for all the suspicious things I've previously pointed out. Nothing from Mimi's team social media posts are believable or make sense.

Mimi jumped from where she stopped last night to a point ~40 km down the road. She is not moving. The chase car is at the same spot. The RV is further down the road. Her stopping point is reasonable--meaning of the road at the intersection with a country road; safe to stop and rest.

This jump covered ~1.8 miles, and covered 28 minutes. She was running roughly at 4 mph for the jump.
How has Mimi done in seven day races? Do we have verifiable records of anything over 150 miles? Why is she considered such an elite runner by the ultrarunning community? I'm confused and genuinely want to understand.

No runner gets a pass, no matter how nice, no matter how qualified. If this was an unofficial run it doesn't matter. For a world record smashing event it does matter; matters a lot.
