Congrats on getting 300 miles without having to stop for a couple of hours to charge. Lol. I’m sure if I didn’t run AC/heat, didn’t turn on the nav, radio, no chargers, no WiFi on, and drove several miles under the speed limit in a flat area or all downhill with the wind behind me at the perfect temperature I could get double the 300. And if I needed to fill up I could just go to any of the many of gas stations in virtually any area with open, working pumps and be back on the road in 5 minutes not 2 hours. I clarified my statement from earlier. Got little juice because you forgot to plug in at home and you’ve got hours of charging to wait on. Inconvenient and frustrating. Things will get better in the next few years because battery tech will reduce prices and increase range. Plus infrastructure will improve. Right now EVs are not ready for mainstream. Too inconvenient and too frustrating.
Again, the scenario you describe of getting in trouble because you forgot to plug in just doesn't happen!!
With home charging, you plug in every night just like with your cell phone. You start each day with a full charge and you never need to visit a public charger (or a gas station!!!). So even if you forget to plug in one or two nights in a row, you will still have enough juice to get through the day.
Stop lying it does happen and it is inconvenient and frustrating. I get it. You are a big fanboy. It’s no different than with sports teams. You’re a fanboy and refuse to admit the inadequacies of your team. Listen. I’m a big fan of EVs too. But I can admit that they are not ready yet. They will be in a few years when battery tech gets better and cheaper and infrastructure is built out to support them. For right now they are inconvenient and frustrating. You’ve illustrated how frustrating and inconvenient they are yourself in all the workarounds you’ve detailed on this thread that you have to do to. Wait a few years and they will be much better and ready for prime time.
