Actually, an accident is pretty much guaranteed to happen when you stare at someone and plow into them, no?
No, that's called assault, manslaughter, or murder.

So a rider in the medal positions deliberately "slams" into an also-ran in a move that's at least as likely to take him down as anyone else.
And this makes sense to you?
Right.....
You clearly don't ride bikes if you think that there was any risk of Cavendish going down when he body slammed Park. I'm seeing this as a popular line of thinking from the Brits on Reddit. Cavendish used the rear wheel portion of his bike and body to do the body slam into Parks front wheel. As anyone that races a bike knows, Cavendish will never go down in that situation because the rear wheel is rigid and can't turn whereas contacting someone's front wheel easily torques their handlebars and causes a fall.
Also, Cavendish used his momentum coming down the track to body slam Park, which means that Park would be sliding downwards away and behind Cavendish. Another factor why Cavendish would never crash.
Cavendish has a history of maliciously crashing out other riders in sprints like in the Tour de France and the Tour de Suisse.
It was malicious and intentional to anyone non British and not bribed by British Cycling.
All at 40-50kph? With a silver medal on the line if he gets it wrong?
Good try pal.
