Yeah right. Your daughter is almost certainly ugly and wanted the excuse for male physical contact. The boys indeed most likely didn't see it as an opportunity to cope a feel, for reasons already mentioned. The school and coach, if they were really happy about her being on the team, only were so for the free points as most of her male counterparts forfeited.

As I said, we have home school legal defense insurance which we have already called in due to the shenanigans of our local school district.
The wrestler's situation is similar to that of one a friend's son who swims on the local high school team while being home schooled. He broke a few individual school records as a freshman and has now been limited by the coach and AD to swimming only relays.
It is extremely improbable that just by chance the top ranked wrestler who happens to be home schooled in a traditional manner would be the one to draw the freshman girl.

i'm going with the fear of a b0ner defense - I would be terrified of that happening in a public inappropriate place. And if i were wrestling a girl, it would happen in about 10 seconds.
I believe it said the round of 16 for their match? 15 possible opponents and 2 girls, 13.3% chance for a girl opponent.
Yeah I'm going to stick with the paranoia thing; your personal experience with vindictive coaches notwithstanding, 2/15 odds way more sense than some grand conspiracy in a state high school league that has no reason to give two shits where this kid gets taught.

Do you not understand that the type of incident discussed in this thread is so common that there is actually a branch of the insurance industry that sells many, many thousands of policies to defend home schooling families?
Again, the problem is so common that there is an industry to deal with it?

No and yes.
When I was in school, the answer was no. But now there are soooo many lawyers that they are eager to sue anybody for any reason. So, yes, the girls are allowed to wrestle in high school gym classes. But, I do not keep in touch with my old school, so I really don't know if they do today.
I would feel that chick up big time.
I'm aware of the legal challenges families face in terms of retaining their rights to homeschool. And I'm sure there has been plenty of legal action required to get schools to let homeschool kids compete on their teams.
That's not "this type of incident". If you can cite ONE previous incident where multiple members of a state-level youth athletic organization colluded to persecute a student just because he was homeschooled, then maybe I'll reconsider the paranoia thing. I mean, you accused them of setting him up to hurt the girl for pete's sake.
There is absolutely a difference between racing a girl and wrestling a girl. I for one credit the guy for standing up for his principles. I was inspired by it.

I'm not saying there couldn't have been some shenanigans played in getting this match-up. But if he was one of the highest ranked wrestlers in that weight division and she was one of the lower ranked wrestlers (she had quite a few loses), then it doesn't seem like there'd be much of a stretch in their match-up.
