Just to simplify things for you. Just focus on one line.
Under Obama's watch, the National debt:
Increased by $3 trillion in 21 months (average of $142.9 billion per month). Dubya took 7 years and Obama beat him by a mile!!!!
Bush was never close to this rate. Those are the facts.
If anyone needs things "simplified", it is you. Why don't YOU read this information, and maybe for once in your life, turn off your fox news hypnotized brain and open your mind, and look at some of the FACTS objectively. Then come back and tell is what you think. This article was written EXPRESSLY for people like you. I will quote from it and then link to it.
" Critics Still Wrong on What’s Driving Deficits in Coming Years
Some critics continue to assert that President George W. Bush’s policies bear little responsibility for the deficits the nation faces over the coming decade — that, instead, the new policies of President Barack Obama and the 111th Congress are to blame.... Nevertheless, the fact remains: Together with the economic downturn, the Bush tax cuts and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years. " (see chart)
http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=3036There you have it: economic downturn, wars, and tax cuts. THOSE ARE THE THINGS that are creating the deficit that you are so frightened of and so critical of Obama for somehow creating. Now genius, explain to all of how Obama is responsible for:
1) the economic crash that happened on Bush's watch (and festered during years and years of Republicans control of all branches of gov't) ??
2) The Iraq and Afghanistan wars (especially Iraq, since that is what bled us of the most funds by FAR) ... ??
3) The Bush tax cuts ???
If you have an ounce of objectivity or integrity, you know you can't blame Obama for those things, and those are the policies driving our deficit!! For God's sake man, open you eyes.
(and as the article points out, these #'s don't even count the Bush Medicare Part D program, which was a hand out to pharmaceutical companies. This policy also is certainly adding to our deficit, but the CBO can not confidently predict to what extent at this time, so it was left out )
To reiterate, from the article:
"If not for the tax cuts enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush that Congress did not pay for, the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that were initiated during that period, and the effects of the worst economic slump since the Great Depression (including the cost of steps necessary to combat it), we would not be facing these huge deficits in the near term."
END >>> OF>>>> STORY.
For all your crying and whining about debts and deficits, it was the policies of the REPUBLICANS that brought us to this point. But you will ignore all of that, and instead just shout: OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST, WAHHHHH! Right?
Be honest for once in your life. The deficit we are facing is NOT due to recent democrat of Obama policies. Period.
