claw (aside from euros) had a good xc season last yr. very consistent runner, give him time, i even reckon a marathon wud suit him some day. ill allow beast status be given to him.

as 4 fagan: BEAST! great 10mile result in BUPA, he will do cross country half-arsed and deliver a good position but wait till his 3rd/4th marathon until everyone thinks he's the next best thing.

However, with less than 1k to go Murphy made a move that proved decisive as he added to his All Ireland schools cross country title won earlier this year.

i dont know about anyone else but the performance from this guy today was outstanding.this display of guts/determination was superior than Bekele in world cross in Edinburgh,a joy too watch.The guy started 200-300m behind the leaders after loosing a spike and yet won by 13-15 secs with 1 spike incredible!!!!!!!

The pace of the first lap was snails pace it was easy for murphy to get back although he won fair and square i wouldnt underestimate the two lads behind him in the euros

300m now is a bit excessive, thats like a minute in those conditions, he hardly cauht them after one lap when a min behind? lapping at 6.35 to 40 so they were, average. pace was slow enuf first lap though, big group of 12 or 13 lads. murphy was a class apart in that field, musta done his first lap in 6.15 to 6.20 to catch up.

mccormac was hitting 6.25 a lap for the 5 laps average, if divide winning time by 5

Andy is coming home but is he running the euros he said he got a stitch during the race and slowed down thats crazy sorry to hear about his uncle .
