Not an LA fan, Einstein. Perosnally, I think Kobe is a classless felon who got away with rape here in Colorado, and I was merely responding to those who would foolishly compare him to a player with inflated stats but no championships.
Funny, the only thing more classless than Kobe are these pompous Boston fans, who have yet to even win the series, but of course I already knew that, not just from their sophomoric rhetoric on these boards, but from personal encounters with their brazen, juvenile behavior and their stupid, twisted Red Sox hats on after the Broncos dismantled the Patriots about four years ago here in Denver in the playoffs. A sight to behold, for sure. Dumbest, cockiest, most classless fans ever, next to Philadelphia of course.

Yes yes, the worst fans ever. Except for all the others.
If there is one thing that decades of sports fandom has taught me it is that all sports fans suck equally.

I will have to say it again. Chanting MVP in the first quarter is pretty foolish!!!
Rippy, you are absolutely pathetic!
First of all, it's not exactly a shocking revelation that you have season tickets to see the Cavs. Your blatant bias is quite transparent.
Yes, it's obvious that the Lakers are losing to a better basketball team. However, when Bynum recovers from his knee surgery this summer I think it's safe to say that Phil's crew will win a few more games next season.
That being said, your predictions and observations are still horrendous. You have been hidden away for several weeks, refusing to acknowledge the many "bumps" to this thread, and now you crawl out of hiding once again to revive the smart-ass "MVP chant" commentary. The amusing part is that they have been chanting that in the Staples Center throughout the entire season, but since they had not lost a home game in 2½ months you couldn't say a damn thing about it!
Since the Lakers weren't going to go undefeated at home, Ripply would eventually find a tiny morsel of redemption. It's OK Rippy... even a broken clock is right twice a day!

Nice. Guilty until proven innocent, huh? You must have thoroughly enjoyed your job as a member of Saddam's Supreme Court!

Overpower 'em in the bedroom, then overpower 'em in and out of the courtroom with money, then overpower your dumb wife with a $4 million dollar apology ring. Then bitch about all of your crappy teammates and whine about being traded to a championship contender. Yep, class act all around.

As opposed to those who would ostracize and pre-convict someone without all the facts. No mirrors in your house, Sagarin?
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hypocriteFor the record, Kobe was NEVER exonerated. He never admitted to the sexual encounter until AFTER the DNA evidence was released, and he was able to exploit a small town DA and courtroom without the resources or experience to take on such a case. Hence, the pretty good size settlement to make this case go away. And just think of all the world class athletes and sprinters who never ACTUALLY tested positive for banned substances. Guess the overwhelming circumstantial evidence doesn't matter there either.
Even so, you Celtic fans are premature. While I myself overlooked the major advantage that the Celtics have in having played very tight series in the lead-up to the championship series while the Lakers had it pretty easy (foolish and contradictory I know, since I've pointed out ad nauseum that Ohio State never seems to benefit from winning against a cakewalk schedule in football versus SEC teams that are much more battle tested), this series is far from over. The Lakers will win game five as the Celtics have already accomplished what they wanted in LA, and then I'd almost be willing to bet the Lakers pull a major surprise in game 6. Hence a game 7. And something tells me that it will grow awfully quiet on these boards and in Boston as everyone waits with baited breath.

yeah Sag, i bet you think that other spors star from LA in OJ simpson who killed his wife and a waiter-acquaintance about ten years ago is also guilty. i bet you think that more than one ref rigged NBA games based on nothing but hearsay.

Agreed. But then again, SHE wasn't exonerated, either.
As long as you are going to reference cliches about "overwhelming circumstantial evidence," there has NEVER been an instance where a young lady like this one resorted to extortion against a rich celebrity, right? Let's see here... we have a young lady who was visiting a celebrity's hotel room to merely socialize in the middle of the night, and I seem to recall that there were actually "contributions" from 3-4 different men when they revealed the DNA test results on her underwear. Yes, SHE was definitely a naive, innocent victim! LoL!!!
Never once suggested she was naive, though, in reality, she was in thinking that she might actually get her day in court and justice. Much harder for a small-time DA with a limited budget to get a conviction than for the much wealthier defense to suggest "reasonable doubt." Now, "preponderance of the evidence?" Well, that's another matter altogether.

And yes, I believe OJ was guilty and yes, I think NBA games have been and are "influenced," which is why it's the least interesting and meaningful sporting event to watch. Nevertheless, Kobe is the best player in the NBA, hands down, as he would have been in prison. Can't believe the guy isn't still thanking his lucky stars and actually had the nerve to whine about anything, most of all his teammates. Class act.
