well all i got to say good job for AJ, I mean 4:03 that's still a great time and that was his PR. But now we can say who's the next high schooler to take on the sub 4 barrier?? Thats probably most likely to fail....
Cojones, along with huevos, is one of the most common ways of referring to the testicles in Spanish
Aj had a dream. His dream was to break the 4 minute mile barrier. He came upshort of his dream but still ran a great time. i tip my hat off to AJ and give a wag of the finger to the rest of you. You have to give respect to someone who chases there dreams. AJ gavem hell.
That's the spirit. Celebrate the effort! He was on the track while others were in front of their monitors pecking away at his effort. Kudos to everybody who participated, it's good for the sport. A PR is terrific. Congrats AJ and to everybody who attempted to help him achieve a goal.
By the way, anybody have complete results?
I kinda feel sad for the little fellow. He has a big set of huevos. If he only had the right shoes, I'm certain that 3:56 was feasible.
let bolas try
Bolas huevos>AJs huevos
F*** BOLAS
Well, Bolas ran 4:05.8 at his county on a slow track and won by 30 seconds, 4:04.38 at states winning by 11 seconds, and split a 4:03.7 at NON in the DMR. Those are some damn impressive times with nobody even remotely close to him. The only HS runner with a chance at sub-4:00 was Bolas and I think that was even a long shot. It doesn't matter what your times are in HS; what matters is what times you run later. While Acosta was hyping himself as the next great miler, Bolas was getting ready to rock Acosta's world next year in college.

That is a stupid statement when Acosta had already run a 4:04 1600 and a 3:45 1500. He had run 1:51 and it was certainly a possibility. You are free to root against him or believe someone else has a better chance, but sayingn he had "no chance" was stupid.
I think the kid needs to say away from the boards!, what the hell do any of you know anyway. Seeing young people with so gifted pushed so hard so young is sad. Run a young body that is still forming hard like that all the time and soon you end up with a 3:40 miler who is running 4:10, due to being hurt all the time.
As for the guy who ran the 4:05, on a dirt track. What has he done at the WC, WCC, OG?

DyeStat has taken recent criticism about promoting negative AJ Acosta values instead of promoting the importance of hard work, humility, and good sportsmanship.
"You have to realize that essentially, DyeStat is a big hype machine. While a large segment of high school kids love their families, respect the rights of others, and are humble, God-fearing people, that's not the demographic DyeStat reaches out to. If you're not an over-the-top self-promoter, DyeStat can either make you one or make you idolize one. .
Well, maybe we should reach out to you ... you seem to embody all these characteristics of those you saracastically claim we reach out to
- not God-fearing - check!
- not humble - check!
- doesn't respect the rights of others - check!
- over the top self-promoter - check!
- loves your family? I won't even touch that one
By the way, if you're insinuating that AJ doesn't love his family, works hard, is a good sport ... hit yourself in the face, hard! Make that the other side of the face from the side you already hit since you're a gutless coward who is afraid to say who you really are.
I dare you to identify yourself and prove it.
God fearing makes you a better person. I guess al those people that don't fear god are bad. Biggot!
I'd just like to know the runners' times from tonight's mile. Anyone have them?

Nah, we don't feel that way. He's just saying that most kids are God-fearing, etc., but that's not who we supposedly reach out to. And I'm saying, since he's also obviously not in that category, I guess we're, in effect, reaching out to him. Twisted, but when you're dealing with mentally ill people, sometimes that's all they understand.
sounds as though the satire is spot on and the only defence is to attack the messenger. a fun little ditty, certainly not malicious.
"never post again.. you are a douche bag for calling someone a "fagatron". please do us a favor and kill yourself"

Fagatron is not nearly as bad as "douche bag". You use this word in almost every one of your posts. It's getting very old - douche bag is not cool to say...it hasn't been for about 20 years now. Even though you use the anonymous name dfgsdfgthat, I know who you are.
i was at the race at the pace was fcking horrible. obea did an excellent job, but no1 was there at about 1000meters. AJ was all by himself and had to push the entire last lap with no1 on his heels. i knew the field was weak...a hs kid who has not broken 4 minutes is PROBABLY not going to unless some1 does it besides him. congrats on his effort...but its time to say good bye to hs.
one final comment:
come on 303 through 1200meters? please corry primm could have paced him through atleast 3:00. bad pacing to the setters...rabbits r to pace and to sacrifice their bodies to do their job...even if that means to DROP OUT!

agreed (surprisingly, obea was the only good rabbit)

actually, jacques took the lead at 1000 and made a push for sub-4; all a.j. needed to do was stay with him
please corry primm could have paced him through atleast 3:00.
no offense to the kid, but between him and ben bruce they really butchered the middle two laps, forcing a.j. and then jacques to take the lead prematurely
bad pacing to the setters...rabbits r to pace and to sacrifice their bodies to do their job...even if that means to DROP OUT!
agreed
