Now that the Russian retreat from Kherson is turning into a rout, it's time to take a walk down memory lane to see which LRC foreign policy analyst was most stunningly wrong.

The whole reason they advanced on Kiev in the first place was to distract half the Ukrainian army while they surrounded the other half in the east and took over Mariupol and Kherson.
You see, Kyiv was just a faint. The real attack was on Kherson. And now...oh, wait.
One of the most obvious wrong takes is from Ernest on 8 July:

Never one to miss out on the action, here's Lollys Master from 1 September, commenting on the overhyped Kherson counter-offensive:

But Lolly really takes the L on this comment from 26 September:

So far the presence of Ukrainian troops in those four regions is almost non-existent. One village next to Lysychansk in Luhansk and small bits north of Kherson. Further spreading will be halted with additional troops, which will suffice even if they're not well trained.

As we see the piles of mangled Russian equipment, POWs and casualties coming out of Kherson over the next several days, remember, kids: don't believe a word these guys say about anything.
You've got a lot of free time on your hands. I'm envious.
Latest up date from Ukraine.
It sounds like Russia is serious about withdrawing across the Dnipro River.

Maybe one of these geniuses could comment on how much of Russia is now (and forever) controlled by Ukraine?
Seeing lots of reports of panic and terror amongst Russian troops leaving Kherson, as Ukraine is continually pounding the river crossings. It’s like the old nature documentaries of the wildebeests crossing the crocodile infested river.

Ukrainian flags raised in Kherson. Russia is a LONG way from the fleeting glory of March 2022.
The Putin fans listed above must be feeling an internet humiliation unlike any before in the history of the internet. Deep, painful humiliation down to the depths of their dark souls.
Where will Russians soldiers retreat from next? They are running out of places to retreat from. Tough choices they face too - hang out in Ukraine getting blown up, or run away back to the sh!thole called Russia. That's a personal dilemma each Russian solider faces.

Thank you for your service. Incredible work! I do enjoy seeing the sh*tposters like carmine enjoy the dirty sanchez of their bad faith, disingenuous arguments fester on their bodies, right under their noses. Wigins, Unkle, Carmine, DanM, DiscoGary, et al - enjoy the whiff!

Way to deflect and avoid the subject, while reaching for a flat, given argument. You've got nothing to stand on (seems like a familiar sentiment for your ~5 years posting here).
Lack of power and high energy prices will create a hard winter - unfortunately, this is war- but they've known it is coming for some time and they're pretty hard people.
From the comfort of your office depot chair and your aging Compaq: tell me Carmine - would you rather get shelled with a 50kg projectile, daily, or have to survive staying warm?
Get off Letsrun, get off the internet and get a life, my guy.
One more for the Pro-Putin slow brains. Keep gobbling up the propaganda and telling the rest of us that we're being deceived. So SO many parallels to the Covid threads here with these clowns.
Reality:
This is how the Ukrainian army was greeted when entering Kherson City. Moments like this happened very rarely in history. Nobody will ever forget this. #Kherson#Ukrainepic.twitter.com/7Nbim8MHX9
The ground in Ukraine will likely freeze in the next 4-7 weeks. When that happens, we will see everything change in Ukraine. Western media likes to ✅ Sign up...
Clown doesn't realize, or doesn't care, that he's extolling the strategic value of war crimes against civilians.
I'm sensing that it may be time for one of his signature whataboutyous . . . .
I an extolling the need to negotiate instead of all this needless spilling of blood that you morons cheer on like a football game
Russia started something they couldn't finish, before this is over over 100,000 Russians will be dead and for what,, what has Russia accomplished other than come off looking stupid and weak? They will come away with.....0.
How damn stupd was that annexation thing? What an idiot! Everything Russia has done has been dumb. All they can do is shoot at buildings, anything beyone that is beyond them.
Yep love watching these jerks get their butts kicked, hell its actually ....wanna kill some Russians come on in.......

Ukraine is open to negotiations with Russian terrorists. Zelensky has laid out a very reasonable set of demands: the return of all of Ukraine’s occupied lands, compensation for war damage, and the prosecution of war crimes. Putin and Russia are the ones delaying peace (on account of the invading, and bombing, and war crimes). Did you figure out how to read tables on Wikipedia yet? Did you figure out how I could have family in Ukraine, yet not be Ukrainian?

The only thing Russia has been able to do is lob artillery at civilians and perform executions and other war crimes in temporarily occupied areas. All other actual military endeavors have been humiliating failures.
UKRAINIAN Interior Ministey on Friday (Nov. 11) released a video that shows a Ukrainian soldier raising a flag in a liberated village in Kherson after withd...
How damn stupid was that annexation BS, did Putin really think that was going to work, is this guy really that stupid? What gets me is there is nobody in Russia who can tell ths guy how damn dumb his ideas are? All of us here knew that wasn't going to work, he didn't?
This is over, so now it's just about how many tanks did Ukraine destroy today? How many Russian soldiers were killed today? Putin honestly can't figure out he is whipped, the guy is really that far gone?
I must confess I had no idea Russia was this bad at this, hell that army couldn't take Detroit, those gangs would kick their butt.
I need a song for that Russian army, gotta be some old country song about losing it all, lost and alone.
