Data 'expert' rather than Movescount expert, but as I mentioned a couple of pages ago ALL data could be manipulated or spoofed. They are nothing more values in a text file. Devices can be spoofed. Location can be spoofed. Distance can be spoofed. HR can be spoofed. Cadence can be spoofed ...

In the time it would take me to to it I could run transcon, but script kiddies could knock something out to generate this stuff fairly easily.

GPS/Tracking data are only part of any evidence IMHO.

The issue with ‘just bad with devices’ is that she is on pace to run faster than anyone ever has, except Pete. Less than 46 days.

The best result I can find is a 32oddmin Spartathalon result. Decent.

FTR I place absolutely no stock in those "doubleSparta/ Badwater" stunt runs as I have it on good authority no data exists from the return legs and obviously they weren't official races

Also coming up on 18 or so hours - still no Strava update and no communication/ excuse as to why

Hold your horses, I've only had a few days to research and start spoofing from scratch while these transcons had years in planning and way more money than I have (want to sponsor a fake transcon so I can spoof full time). If you are curious, check out the world record mile and marathon spoofing thread for the low effort attempts we just made at spoofing. I'm coding up my tool and will try to have a long run spoofed this weekend.

It will take seconds to create a spoofed run file with a route or track to start with. There is nothing slow about crunching through a few thousand coordinates.

If we accept that a Suunto watch will only communicate with the Suunto website to get data off it, then that's an extra level of security that takes a lot more effort to defeat. However, there are plenty of people out there more skilled than me that could reverse engineer the firmware and protocols. Also, we don't even know if Mimi's team would need to show that they are actually syncing her watch with the Suunto website in a timely manner and that they are not just downloading an exported file and importing it into Strava.

It's starting to sound like running the route might actually be easier than spoofing the Strava data from a Suunto watch.

Being able to create spoofed data on Strava is irrelevant. I want to see someone spoof her Movescount profile. Do that, and then we can start further speculation. Spoofing stuff on Movescount would be significantly harder than on Strava and would involve hacking into the code of Movescount and/or the watches.
