Good news, but we really need to be 3 million+ at this point and rising.
Do you know what states these numbers really increasing from in the last week? Some better than others in the last week like TX, maybe?
Here in Georgia, we did just under 2500 shots yesterday. Awesome job, Kemp! We'll be out of this in no time. You know it's gotten bad here when Georgians are heading over to Alabama in order to get the vaccine. Only 12% of Georgians have received one shot and 7% two.
Since we've opened up the mega-centers our numbers have actually dropped. Doesn't surprise you when teachers have been added to the list of eligible groups for next week, but only 45% of them say they will get the shot.
Some metro ATL counties are pathetic. Henry County - 2% fully vaccinated, Forsyth County - 4%, Gwinnet - 3%, Clayton - 3%, Douglas - 4%. It's embarrassing.

best vaccination states per capita:
NM
ND
SD
MA

RI
AK
Worst vaccination states per capita:
UT
TX
TN
AL
GA

I'm familiar with the NYT dashboard (notice GA is last - good job Kemp). Just wondering if there were certain states that were catching up from appointments canceled due to weather or may not have reported due to weather and were catching up in the last few days.

More importantly, which type of EVs does the government employees use?
Lastly, are EV charging stations free to the public or is there a charge for the charge? If so, what is a typical fee?
He destroyed Trump in the debates.
Any small chance Trump had died when went up against President Biden.
You are wrong. We now have a POTUS who is in a perpetual fog, prefers to hide in the WH basement & won't do a press conference.
Biden is putting kids in cages and all the libs here remain quiet. Wow.
The media is SOOOOO powerful. If they really cared about us, why didn't we shut down businesses and take the necessary precautions and initiative to minimize heart disease, stroke, world hunger, and other problems that are WAY more deadlier and dangerous than covid19. You are more likely to be killed struck by lightning if you're under 25 than die from covid.

your view is that non-contagious diseases should be treated the same way as deadly contagious diseases.
Do I have that right?
Cause it sounds too stupid to be correct.

oh. opinion pieces from right wing newspapers that equate any sort of facility with cages.
nice post.
got anything equating a mild cold with dysentery and calling them the same?
Reminder that minimum wage is only paid to 1% of workers, and the percent of workers paid minimum wage is at historic lows.
Although you can argue that a higher minimum wage will push up other wages.
But the people paid minimum wage are generally very very young and not supporting households.
Not as big a deal to people as you might think.

I am right, you are in denial.
After the first debate Trump was dead in the water, toast.

Trump had exactly one press conference in his first *year* in office. Biden has been in office 40 days.

Well, he did say "WAY more deadlier" and "be killed struck by lightning" so . . .
Covid update
We had a sharp improvement from Mid-January to Mid Feb, but since Mid Feb improvement has leveled off. Some scientists think we are seeing a tie between the impact of social distancing, natural immunity and vaccines vs. new variants. Coming out to a draw.
numbers based on 7 day averages
US
Cases down 73%
Deaths down 42%
15% have had at least one shot
UK is the star
Cases down 87%
Deaths down 75%
30% have had at least one shot
Israel
Cases down 58%
Deaths down 65%, new low
55% have had at least one shot
Interesting that cases in Israel aren't falling as much as other nations, but deaths have fallen more than other nations. Probably the kidz are getting sick but not dying, and the oldsters, who have been vaccinated, aren't dying. Because of the vaccinations. Good job, Israel.
France (low vax uptake)
Cases new highs
Deaths down 33%
4% have had at least one shot. Just 4%. Fail, France.
In the US we hit a new high of 1.82m vaccinations per day, 7 day average.
The next 3 weeks will be critical - to see if we can manage the logistics of getting the higher number of vaccine deliveries into arms.

My friend's daughter got the 2nd shot.
Extremely ill for about 36 hours. She is in her mid 20s so likely got far sicker than the Covid would have made her.
Where do I sign up?

Classic. WE have been hearing that the next three weeks will be critical for over 12 months now.

It gets about 200 miles in the dead of winter. But your car won't even start.
Gas cars are horrible to own and maintain. Always breaking down. Always needing oil changes, fluids, brake pads, hoses, belts, transmissions. Hundreds of moving parts that can break and leave you stranded.
Anyone who buys a gas car is an idiot.
200 miles! That must be fun. Barely get on the road and already have to pull over, check the web for a charging station that may or may not be occupied for the next couple of hours or even operational. And then at my destination I don’t have to worry about there being a charging station. Nah. I’d rather spend that time at my destination. Batteries are getting better and in the next few years EVs will be a lot better, less frustrating and more convenient.
I mean ideal weather conditions and city driving. There are lots of people besides me who report getting 300+ miles for range estimate in the Bolt.
Here is a Bolt owner who not only got over 300 miles as a range estimate as I have done; he actually drove 300 miles on a single charge:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtZz0wKGPDwThis also shows how I immediately knew you were lying about someone who forgot to plug in and woke up to a dead battery. This basically can't happen because the car gives you all kinds of warnings if you let the battery get low and it even reduces propulsion to save battery if you get really, really low. It's the kind of advanced intelligence you generally don't get with a gas car.
Yes, EVs will keep getting better. But they are already far superior to gas cars.
So if you need a new car today, get an EV. If you buy a gas car you are an idiot.
