"Look, I'm really embarrassed that I somehow didn't see that edge. About the children. Well, it happens like this: you're sitting on the air, you're going wild. And you can't stop. I apologize to everyone who was freaked out by that. I apologize to Margarita (Simonyan), to everyone for whom it seemed wild, unthinkable and irresistible. I hope you'll forgive me."
He's embarrassed that he somehow "didn't see" that suggesting murdering children was a bad idea?
He excuses his behavior because "[he's] going wild. And [you] can't stop."
He apologizes to the people that were freaked out and to everyone for "for whom it seemed wild, unthinkable and irresistible". Note, he doesn't actually take back anything he says. He's just sorry about the reaction it caused.
Note also, he's only suspended. He's not fired.
Like I said, a mentally ill person. Has been fired already:
You still find ways to shock us with your ignorance. The U.S. is the world's largest producer of oil. We've got plenty for our own needs, thanks. We're a net oil exporter. It's your oil we're drilling.
One more example of Russia's inept campaign. Wagner PMC has erected a dragon's teeth anti-tank line like the Germans tried to use on the Siegfried Line during WWII. First, the line is not very long and UA forces can go around it if necessary. Second, the line is made up of prefab concrete pyramids that were lowered into place with a crane. Dragon's teeth during WWII were constructed on a concrete base with rebar that connected the teeth to the concrete base so they could not be pushed out of the way. They were also 4 to 5 to six rows deep. Many are still there in forests across Germany. Wagner's dragon's teeth could be pushed out of the way with a truck because they are not connected to the ground. And the pyramids are not very tall. A tank could probably just drive right over them.
This and other actions by Wagner make you wonder just how crooked Wagner PMC is. They get paid for all of this and profit off the conflict. Has Wagner failed to take Bakhmut because UA is beating them or is Wagner doing just enough to make it look like they are fighting hard without losing a billing opportunity in the battle for Bakhmut? You have to wonder whether RU's use of PMC mercenaries isn't part of the reason they have had so little success. The PMCs need to have a long drawn out conflict to maximize profits and a short war is bad for business.

You better take care of your own ignorance. US is expected to be a net importer of petroleum in 2022. Let me explain it to you: it will import more petroleum than it exports. There is a reason why Biden is begging Saudi Arabia to export more.
Yes. And it’s strange that you don’t support the simplest possible solution - Russia withdraws immediately and completely.
It took the US 20 years to withdraw from Afghanistan. How come you want Russia to do it so quickly? Same rules for all players, remember? :)
I didn’t say I did. I fully support Ukraine slowing bleeding Russia dry so that they crumble. But, Carmine seems to be very concerned about all the death in Ukraine, so he should support Russia’s immediate withdrawal as the most expedient route to alleviating his concerns.

The US/Afghanistan war really wasn't a war that the US fought against the Taliban as much as it was a civil war between the Taliban and US backed Afghan forces that the US managed. About 2,400 US soldiers died in Afghanistan. About 70k Afghan soldiers died in the conflict and about 50k Taliban died. The main reason the US lasted so long in Afghanistan was because the Afghan government knew that there was no way to have a peace deal with the Taliban in which US forces withdrew because the Taliban would just overrun the Afghan government as soon as the US left the country. And it was politically untenable for the US to leave while Al Qaeda and ISIS were active. Once ISIS and Al Qaeda were largely marginalized and Islamic terror groups ran out of the ability to radicalize and recruit new member, the US had political cover and was able to leave. But for most of the war, US forces operated from very safe bases, did mostly special ops support and let Afghan forces go head to head with the Taliban in battle. The cost to the US was minimal and the benefit to war backers in the US (big defense budgets) was maximized by a long drawn out conflict.
Ukraine is not tied to some international terrorist organization that has been carrying out horrific attacks in Russia. And Russia is taking massive numbers of casualties and losing a massive amount of equipment. Russia has not been able to sustain the war with its uniformed forces and has had to do a "partial" mobilization. The cost of the war for Russia is existential in nature. The benefits of pulling out of Ukraine and being done with the war are substantial for Russia. A peace deal that lifted sanctions would result in a huge economic boom in Russia and Russians would quickly forget any humiliation from losing the war. Of course the problem right now is that Ukraine is not going to negotiate when they are winning. So, absent a unilateral withdrawal by Russia, this is going to go on for a while before the conflict gets to the point where Ukraine has anything to gain from letting Russia up.

I am quite concerned with all the death in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine, Libya, etc. at the hands of the US empire.
As we live in the US, maybe we can do something about it.
Last time I checked, we don't have a lot of say over the Russian govt.

Great thinking.
No negotiations. If you just will it, Russia will pack it in.
Dealing with children
Drawn out negotiations will only delay the end of the death and destruction in Ukraine that you’re so opposed to. Therefore, a simpler and quicker solution is for Russian troops to “pack it in” and march back to Russia. They’ve already proved reasonably adept at retreating from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lyman, Izium… Why not just add Ukraine as a whole to that list?

Last I checked you didn’t know how to read tables on Wikipedia.
You’re concerned about the death in Ukraine, but don’t support the easiest solution to ending it. Why is that?

Russia is not going to just pack it in. What kind of fantasy world do you live in? No negotiations = continued death

How many Russians do you think have to fertilize the fields of Ukraine before they pack it in?

What a sick, callous comment on Russian life you have made.
Oh, boo-hoo. If they don’t want to turn into fertilizer in Ukraine, maybe they shouldn’t be there. My concern for Russian life ends the moment they cross the border. Putin could single-handedly end the death of Russian soldiers by ordering them back to Russia, but I guess he doesn’t really care about them either.

Or maybe not. Just because we live here doesn't make us in control of world politics , does it. You can vote for whoever you want. That doesn't mean they'll do whatever what you want.
