Anyone find it odd that the Brojos have stayed out of this entirely? Why not offer Jill $100,000 if she runs 51 minutes for a 10 miler or something like they're doing for Rossi? Why the silence?

Wonder if she shows up for work on Monday.
I'm overseas but surely someone a bit more local can just pick up the phone and ring her or Sedicum and politely ask what did and didn't happen and why.
The whole saga involving those two and Bodkin just comes across as really weird and surreal, would love to know WTF it was all about and what the guilty parties have to say about it. Don't let it stop here.
It will be interesting to see if that course certification number ever pops up on the USATF website. Making up a course number would fit into the pathological liar category.
Was this some lame attempt by the doctor to get into the coaching biz? I still don't get what they wanted to accomplish with this obvious lie. If you want more entrants in your race, offer finisher medals.
Oh, and which team is that Mr. Habs?
I was at Barton yesterday.
Meet ran on time .
Turn tail and run now buddy or the focus will turn to your lying....
Guys i have a announcement to make, on march 10th at the clover leaf 5k i will be making a attempt at the males american road 5k record, i have already run 12:46 in practice so i feel like i could get it if i tried in a race, please come out and support me during my run and the race, how often do you get to run in a race when a record is set?

The guilty parties have done a Rossi and gone to ground, guess we'll never know.
Austin and Jill ran up a hill
To fetch a pail of publicity
Austin made a big show
And Jill didn't show
The Rotary came tumbling down after.
Focus is on you mow Habs wrote:

Yes, seems out of character. It's a pretty long thread, and concerns an attempt at an American Record. Usually they comment somewhere along the way. I'm pretty sure that I've read every page of this thread, but can anyone else verify that the Brojos haven't commented?
Watching the girls and boys I've seen and helped as kids perform at the state meet.
Viva afterwards with everyone.
I've read the thread and the brojos have indeed NOT commented. Nor has any other LRC staffer.

Yes, the brojos lack of commenting is intriguing and definitely not an accident.

You don't mean to say... They're not-- you don't think they're in on it, do you?!

Ran the course this morning, at least most of it as I did not run yesterday race. I missed the AR by over 12 minutes and my gender would disqualify me even so. There was a woman running it and she passed me. Had to stop at intersections etc but she was pretty fast. At the marked finish she was sitting by the curb with tears streaming down her face. I asked if she was okay and she said yes just leave me alone got up and went to her car. Weird experience to start a day. Really makes me wonder if just a coincidence or what the heck is going on. I have no idea if it was her, no way I would ask a crying woman that. Anyway something weird going on in all this and I do not understand.
I think it with traffic I added about 4 minutes to my expected time based on pace. So I do not see how anyone could do a training run on an open course with traffic and do what was claimed. It would mean she ran 51:30 losing at least 1-2 minutes to traffic so she could do sub 50 on hills.
Anyway whatever. Still confused. But it is not a fast course by any means
This is gold. This person wins for today

Almost 1000 posts on a run that never happened ... or did it
Why would someone make up an AR attempt go through certification, and make such a big deal about it only to erase the details of it afterwards?

Any publicity is good publicity, I guess. Pretty shady for the race to pull such shenanigans, though.

Based on the number of posts like this, apparently the number of letsrun forumites living in the Quakertown area just about matches the population of Quakertown.
Stewart Park called me yesterday Robert and said that you were going to meet him at the Heights Cafe. Weldon said he couldn't make it and that he would meet you later at Pizza Aroma....
