There is not a single American on this board that can explain why petrodollar exists. You are so delusional that you think things ought to stay the way there are just because the US says so.
Once again, Saudi Arabia spit on Biden by cutting oil production and making intent to join BRICS public. You want more oil? Drill your own.
Gladly. In America, have the option to drill our own oil and be energy independent if we choose. Switzerland, on the other hand, will just have to take whatever is left at whatever price other countries decide. No wonder you're so frustrated with Russia's failures in Ukraine. You're living in poverty and your energy costs are going up.
It makes plenty of sense if you have the ability to think about things at a level above the average kindergartener, which apparently you do not.
Please explain how, despite the fact that Albanians are 250 times as likely to make less than $5.50 per day as the Swiss, you are more likely to live in poverty in Switzerland?
Calling names is not an argument
I just used your source to support my claim. I think the burden is on you to PROVE that the numbers are wrong. Not just profess ignorance and expect everyone to do all the thinking for you. Here's some questions to get you started:
What is the poverty level in USD in Albania?
What is the poverty level in USD in Switzerland?
What is the income distribution in Albania?
What is the income distribution in Switzerland?
How to the costs of living compare in Albania and Switzerland (be quantitative).

Your questions are insane!
What does it mean to measure the poverty level in USD?
What do you mean what is the income distribution in a nation?
YOu are accepting the wikipedi data that Albanians are 250 times as likely to make less than $5.50 per day as the Swiss, you are more likely to live in poverty in Switzerland?

2) That's not an obvious answer at all, and is wrong in almost all cases. My god, didn't you ever take an economics course?
Good lord. Children know this, right about time you also learn following:
"If demand increases (decreases) and supply is unchanged, then it leads to a higher (lower) equilibrium price and quantity."
Let me spell it out for you: your money without demand is just paper. And 25% demand loss will end it's existence alltogether. You will be looking for a tall roof to jump off like your great-grandparents did during the Great Depression.
The guy is mentally ill and is already suspended from his duties as a TV host.
Just a friendly reminder, that no country has killed more children than the US.
Here's his "apology":
"Look, I'm really embarrassed that I somehow didn't see that edge. About the children. Well, it happens like this: you're sitting on the air, you're going wild. And you can't stop. I apologize to everyone who was freaked out by that. I apologize to Margarita (Simonyan), to everyone for whom it seemed wild, unthinkable and irresistible. I hope you'll forgive me."
He's embarrassed that he somehow "didn't see" that suggesting murdering children was a bad idea?
He excuses his behavior because "[he's] going wild. And [you] can't stop."
He apologizes to the people that were freaked out and to everyone for "for whom it seemed wild, unthinkable and irresistible". Note, he doesn't actually take back anything he says. He's just sorry about the reaction it caused.

Well then how come Biden goes to Saudi Arabia to beg for more produce?
Maybe it's also time for you to learn this as well:
"U.S. oil companies generally have been reluctant to pump more, preferring to steer cash flows back to investors instead of spending it on new drilling that could flood the world with cheap crude"
Switzerland will be fine, we have more gold per capita than any other country. We will always have enough, because your rich will make sure our banks are up and running, before they will take care of your poor.
Good luck to you trying not to geat eaten by your 37.2 million Americans in poverty :)

Like I said, a mentally ill person. Has been fired already:

Why will supply be unchanged? If supply is not unchanged, how does it work? Even if supply is unchanged, it's not a simple one-to-one change. Maybe try reading about price elasticity before you demonstrate that you're even dumber than a child. Here, I'll provide a reference for you to get started:
A good's price elasticity of demand ( E d {\displaystyle E_{d}} , PED) is a measure of how sensitive the quantity demanded is to its price. When the price rises, quantity demanded falls for almost any good, but it falls more...

"The reality is that Russia — as a state and as a regime — is profoundly weak. The economy, one of the world’s least impressive performers, is in a tailspin. The much-vaunted army has proven to be a paper tiger. The society is increasingly dissatisfied with declining living conditions, growing numbers of body bags, and the regime’s indifference to the fact that at least 65,000 Russian soldiers reportedly have died and at least as many are out of commission...
... Putin is destroying the Russia he created. A different Russia, a better Russia, is possible only if Putin goes and his Russia collapses. There’s little for the West to do but sit back, read Bershidsky’s analyses, and watch Putin’s fascism go up in flames. "
The Israeli role in the Ukraine war gets more interesting by the minute. Israel will not sell Ukraine iron dome defenses or other weapons, but has given intel on defeating Iranian drones and offered an advance early warning missile alert system. Zelensky is pretty pissed at Israel and warned that Russia could help Iran with its nuke program. Then, Israel carries out air strikes on an Iranian drone factory in Damascus. While Russia has pulled back considerably from Syria, it still has control over the skies. Israel would only be able to attack Damascus with deconfliction notice to Russian forces. But this attack would also seem to support Ukraine by taking out Iranian drone production. Strange stuff.
RU is going to try to defend Kherson, but may not have any escape route once the battle begins. RU's military strategy has gone from inept at the outset of the invasion to a very meatheaded campaign to take Donbas through massive and slow moving artillery assaults (like Chechnya and Syria) to chicken with head cut off retreat from UA counter offensive to what know can only be described as a purely political strategy that makes no sense militarily. RU has been trying to take Bakhmut, a strategically important, but not critical, town between Donetsk and Serevodonetsk. RU's best trained and equipped forces, the Wagner Group private military contractor, has been doing most of the fighting with some help (cannon fodder) from Luhansk separatist forces and conscripts. UA has held the line against a two plus week long assault by Wagner. It almost seems like someone at charge at Wagner keeps having their troops beat their heads against the wall because there is no political room to do anything other than accomplish a retaking of Bakhmut. The same goes for the defense of Kherson and the strategy of wasting munitions on bombing power and water infrastructure across greater Ukraine. And Belarus appears to be balking at joining the war by invading from the north again. A new offensive on Kyiv and Kharkiv from the north would stretch UA forces to their limit and might help RU turn the tide in the south. But the big risk would be a revolt in Belarus against Lukashenko in favor of a pro-western government.
Then, Shoigu calls up Sec. Austin and says that UA is planning on using a dirty bomb against RU and threatens nuclear escalation in response. And RU has probably been cutting undersea cables in Europe. This was predicted after the Nordstream attacks.
This is not how a military force behaves when it is trying to fight a war. This is what happens when a military force is failing miserably and politicians are trying to run the show. The only RU strategy that is emerging is to try to lash out wherever possible and hope that support for UA dissolves when economic pressure from winter heating costs in EU and worldwide inflation becomes politically impossible to justify against RU sanctions and costs of supporting UA. Bsically, RU is well aware that it cannot win a military campaign in UA and is going for some bizarre asymmetrical campaign in the hopes that the world gets tired of the conflict and forces UA to take a deal to give up parts of Donbas.
