Contagion is higher with density. It's not obvious that death rate (deaths/infection) would be correlated with population density.

I don't know why Michael Moore let his name be associated with this film. I know he's a long time friend of the filmmaker, but this was pure garbage.

Memory loss- he uses the term, "you know the thing" and "come on" to hide it.

Difficulty communicating or finding words- he fumbles over words, goes off into tangents that have nothing to do with the subject.

Difficulty with visual and spatial abilities, such as getting lost while driving- he doesn't drive & probably hasn't for the last 12 years. He doesn't know what city or state he's in.

Confusion and disorientation- this is so obvious, he walks off camera, confused his wife for his sister, he calls reporters the wrong name. He thought he was running for Senate, he told people to "vote for the other Biden". He "learned about roaches"

First off, don't misunderstand... i'm not arguing. I'm really trying to logically think this through... maybe I'm being illogical or missing something but yes... I clearly understand that in NYC or your corn field with 1000 people spaced by 2 meters the virus will travel more quickly and thus deaths will mount at a particular percentage much more quickly... my feeling is that if the 1000 cornfield example represents the most accurate percentage of deaths due to the virus that eventually the 4 people in the corn field will walk over and talk to one another which will spread the virus equally even though more slowly.. ..

eventually everyone in a given population will be exposed to the disease and thus the same percentage of the population will die.... that is unless either the 1000 person cornfield percentage is inaccurate for some reason or if we can identify and isolate those with the disease ... which of course would be possible in your 4 person cornfield example but not realistic for the US in my estimation...

that's my question... everyone seems to have a side here.... i actually don't... i am just looking for answers from actual facts that we now should have after a 3 full months of tracking this thing.

I read it. It's an opinion piece obviously but if the premise that more or larger exposure to the virus makes it more deadly than it's quite possibly correct... on the other hand since there is no study to support this view in the article we are still left with the old 'correlation or causation' argument ...

I hope the author is correct though...

I do have my doubts that we (those in the US) will be very good about continuing proper social distancing for a long period of time if there is no excessive evidence of the virus.

I live in CA and people here are of course happy we haven't been overrun but many are getting antsy and sentiment is moving towards the 'we overreacted to this thing'... (I'm not saying we overreacted... I'm just saying I get the feeling that's the direction public sentiment is going)

You need to make sure to have the record player on at night.
