well it's not going as well as we'd hope, but things are improving.
Although I'm sure you'd say that sure, as long as no one leaves their home, things are improving. When they leave home things will get worse again.
Here's the good news - without 4/21 in the data. numbers are falling fast in terms of daily deaths.
Global three day averages: minus 6% per day.
US three day averages: minus 6% per day.
This is a big day in my little statland...today replaces 4/21 which was a mighty terrible day and for a week has been making the 7 day numbers look very bad.
So, again, 7 day averages show no real improvement in global daily deaths. Because of 4/21,
Global change in daily deaths, 7 day average: Zero.
In the US, the 7 day average is improving ..negative 2% per day. There seems to be a switch thrown in the US...as NYC deaths have fallen, the US has turned from being the worst major nation to the one improving quickest. This thing really has been a localized plague.
Remember, several on this thread criticized the idea that there are hotspots in this plague. Clearly there are. Not every place will be NYC.
let's hope that 4/21 cycles out and every Tuesday isn't a bad day.
