I say this with the utmost respect Smoburn but I think YOU are the dumbest person I have ever encountered. Again, that is said with the utmost respect. Some dumb people can compensate for his or her dumbness but you don't have that capacity. I would suggest to throw some kindness arrows into your quiver. It would make you a less angry person.

One thing I don't understand...

The IHME people are clearly predicting a quick drop off in deaths. Starting now.

But everything we've seen across the world...implies a very slow drop in death counts.

Hope they are right.

It is still mostly modeling based on the wuhan and south korea data.

The original model was a symmetrical model. They have moved away from that. They have also slightly extended the tail...but I suspect this will be updated even more, because you are correct, the European data is not showing that steep drop-off to near zero.

There are some other models out there as well.

To be clear, this is referring to the end stages. They have already modified the model for a longer, flatter peak based on the European results.
