I got to the race at 7:30 and there were only a few cars in the parking lot and no one outside. She sure must have gotten in her car and taken off in a hurry when she finished seven minutes earlier. She's fast at leaving too!!
Don't feel sorry for Jill. She still has the unofficial American record.
And after a vacation training in Ethiopia, she'll be even faster.

Ran the course this morning, at least most of it as I did not run yesterday race. I missed the AR by over 12 minutes and my gender would disqualify me even so. There was a woman running it and she passed me. Had to stop at intersections etc but she was pretty fast. At the marked finish she was sitting by the curb with tears streaming down her face. I asked if she was okay and she said yes just leave me alone got up and went to her car. Weird experience to start a day. Really makes me wonder if just a coincidence or what the heck is going on. I have no idea if it was her, no way I would ask a crying woman that. Anyway something weird going on in all this and I do not understand.
I think it with traffic I added about 4 minutes to my expected time based on pace. So I do not see how anyone could do a training run on an open course with traffic and do what was claimed. It would mean she ran 51:30 losing at least 1-2 minutes to traffic so she could do sub 50 on hills.
Anyway whatever. Still confused. But it is not a fast course by any means
Can all you dbags please stop making up stories. It's really annoying reading this thread and the attempts at dramatic stories. I've run this course many times there are very few intersections that you would have to stop for traffic. It is in the middle of farm land etc. and you ran at least most of it but claim to have been off the ar by 12 mins. That doesn't make sense. You either ran the course or not. What do you get out of making up stories. Just don't get it. You didn't run it nor see a woman crying just stop. Please it's embarrassing.

I ran fast for me nowadays
I had to full stop 2 times at intersections and 1 on road because I am a nervous safety guy.
I know I can't run the women's AR on that or any course. I was slower than 10 minutes off but I won't admit by how much due to pride
I do not know if I got course right exactly
Lady ran past me on road and was at finish. She had tears not just sweat at finish
I thought it notable. But you are right it probably adds nothing to the thread as I have no idea if it was her.
