my biggest worry is the plateauing of new cases...it's just not going down very much, despite sheltering in place. Sure, it's off the peak, and that's good. But how are people still getting this thing now? All in grocery stores?

Just saw a study of women admitted to NYC hospitals to give birth...15% were covid positive but only 2% had any symptoms.

so if that is representative of the NYC population, there's a good amount to go before we get herd immunity.

But seems positive to me that so few have symptoms. Although that will transmit the disease faster, I know.

Although maybe - this is wild irresponsible guessing...maybe this dripping of new cases is a positive of a bunch of bad choices...it is a way to slowly 'roll out' the disease to the general population, keeping hospitals intact and building herd immunity day by day.

If the covid-positive population is very high then the steady stream of new cases is not surprising.

Yes, a lot of people are getting it in the grocery store. I haven't been to a grocery store or gotten takeout food in 17 days. This is why. The thing is extremely contagious and if you do go to the grocery you will be exposed. You might not catch it but you will be exposed.

Plus add in all the health workers and other essential employees who are unprotected and unable to effectively practice social distancing. I bet the infection rate of those workers would blow your mind if we could actually do testing and find out.

The way this is looking to me is that most of the population will be infected eventually. Sheltering in place is just making it more manageable.

This the issue and it is one I think is misunderstood by a lot of people. All we are doing at the moment is allowing time for the virus to be spread more slowly amongst the same population of people who will ultimately be infected. This may give more time to develop a vaccine or treatment and lessen the blow to medical facilities.

As opposed to Jared Kushner, who worked really hard for everything he has.

agreed. But the point is to show that Burisma was not hiring a useless person. Hunter is an experienced professional. The R line is that Hunter B couldn't even speak ukrainian so he was useless and just bribed to make Joe happy.

I think we are all adults here and understand that big league politicians' kids have doors opened to them. It's regrettable. But if it is corruption, it is barely 1/100th of Trump family open theft, tax cheating and putting family into government.

Wake up. If trump’s strategy were to destroy his country and then kill himself, would it look any different?
