Joe Biden is the most inept President ever. We haven't even made it a year yet and he's a disaster. The list is long, but his withdrawal of Afghanistan...not that we ultimately withdrew, but how and when, along with his absolute failure to grasp what would happen, has to be among the most epic Presidential failures in history.
I say all this in sadness. This is truly an unbelievably sad day for America, and a much sadder day for Afghans, in particular all those that supported the US sponsored Afghan government that are literally being hauled out into the streets right now to be beheaded, and the entire population of girls (age 15 and up) and women (millions) that are being assigned as sex slaves to Taliban. These are real humans, real lives and the level of dehumanization, murder, torture, etc. that is and will take place in Afghanistan is beyond what anyone can get their head around.
This is indefensible and a failure of leadership like we've rarely if ever seen from a President.
Biden and the entire Democratic party also better be praying endlessly that NONE of the thousands of Americans are that are stranded there are injured in any way. If any are harmed or killed he will bear that and the Democrat party should be held ultimately accountable. Benghazi could pale in comparison to what could happen in Afghanistan.

Leaving is not the point. We needed to get out of Afghanistan.
Ineptitude is the point. Leaving when and how we have, while the President is shocked about what has happened, is the point.
We withdrew during the war season, not in the winter. This is a huge point.
We left abruptly, instead of orderly and in a way that assures order.
We left without making sure the Taliban understood there would be severe consequences if they abused the citizens or harbored terrorists again.
We left without making sure our own citizens were safe.
We left without taking care of thousands of afghans that translated for us, served beside us. They will all be tortured and executed.
We left our weapons and military equipment there, which the Taliban are now using against us and their country.
We left in a way that basically makes worthless the thousands of American lives and Billions of dollars spent there.
We left in the most embarrassing and weak way possible, clearly with no understanding or plan, and again "surprised" by the immediate result. We left completely caught off guard, stranding our citizens, trying to helicopter people out like we did in Saigon.

Wrong lunatic, recheck your facts. Leaving was never going to be a pretty and smooth exercise. We left as planned, and Trump agreed with the Afghan government back in early 2020 that this would be the time. The bandaid got ripped off, and while it hurts now to acknowledge our 20-year long failure our country is better off completely out of that conflict.
Take a break from FOX and be thankful no more troops are going to die unnecessarily.
