The text of the larger bill has not been released yet. But the parts I am most interested in are the items concerning the climate crisis.
(These are just some of the things we need to do in this bill. Note that some of these items had small amounts allocated in the smaller bill, but need to be fully funded in the big bill)
* Modernize the grid.
* R&D for green technology
* Cap orphaned natural gas wells
* Get rid of subsidies for fossil fuels
* Retraining for displaced fossil fuel workers
* EV purchase incentives
* EV charging stations
* Switching school buses to electric
* Switching municipal buses to electric
* More funding for public transportation in general
* Make buildings more energy efficient
* New incentives for solar, wind, and other sustainable energy
* Funding for sustainable farming practices
* Agriculture research
* Protection of cities like Miami, that are flooding more and more
* Other climate mitigation funding for things like fighting wildfires and disaster relief
I'm sure I've left out a lot of stuff, but climate change is a massive problem that needs a massive response.
So what does a guy like Trump do on the day before he is reinstated as president by SCOTUS in a 9-0 vote?
Probably re-reads the Constitution, talks to prior politicians and experts and spends some time in quiet contemplation of the awesome task in front of him.
