I wonder about the logic here. If a person self-identifying as transgender, but physically, visually male or female, feels uncomfortable in using the locker room physically appropriate, feels comfortable in violating all American social norms concerning gender isolation in changing rooms and showers and making many people of that gender (presumably this is going to affect the women much more, and people who do not want their daughters exposed to that) uncomfortable. It seems clear what the proper decision is here, if there's no alternative, accept some individual discomfort for the sake of the others.

How many complaints were reported? One is all I know of. It doesn't seem like most people cared or at least cared enough to complain. Are you really protecting the majority by making transgendered people change in the locker room suited by their genitals? I would bet that most of the people in the real world and on this board feel uncomfortable around transgendered people even when everyone has their clothes on.

I don't think it is as much a problem if transgendered women want to come into a men's locker room, but men coming into a women's locker room opens the door for a variety of problems.

In the article I read the woman complaining said that when went to the front desk to complain they had said, "yes, we have had lots of complaints...."

Most women in the real world would be appalled at being asked to share a locker with a male.

This is what a trans should do. On balance it is asking very little, as compared to changing society as much as would be required for women to feel comfortable changing with men, even trans men.

Your point is a good one. You are correct. I've read where High schools now have to let people with penises that identify as female play girls sports. That's absurd.

Yes, HS sports are great for kids. But there is a reason why we have boys and girls sports. People with lots of testerone (boys) have huge advantages.

The ironic thing that these super leftists don't understand is that to ignore that fact is leading us towards the elimination of women sports entirely.

This thread is pointless. Planet Fitness can do whatever they want. If someone doesn't like it they can workout somewhere else.

Someone answer this: Let's say 1000 genes (making #s up) are involved in me being a male...genitals, psycology, etc.... but 1 (or 10) are fouled up and causing me to identify as a girl.

Why would I side with the 1 or 10 jacked up genes and ignore the 99% of properly working genes? It makes no sense. Why not treat this as an illness that might be treatable rather than offering estrogen for growing knockers and penis amputations. Really. Makes no sense.

The person in potential peril is the transwoman. You could look it up: Transgender people are subject to astronomical rates of violence and discrimination. So it's much more likely that she would be assaulted for using a men's locker room than assault a woman when using a women's locker room. Please cite one case in which the latter has happened. Oh, that's right. It hasn't.

Dude, I check out other guys in the locker room and it hurts no one. Your comment is absurd. This is certainly no reason for a fitness chain to be shut down because they didn't do anything wrong or anything that wasn't in the policies and procedures.

right - legitimizing the ridiculous fraud that is transgendered gender identity BS by favoring a 3rd set of rest rooms is a "good idea", but then you object to boys who claim to identify as girls playing on girls sports teams. I think that a male that has gender identity issues is not unlike the man that thinks he is Superman or George Washington. Both are a bit insane. I know it is not politically correct and I would treat neither poorly but it is reality.

To the person that commented that Planet Fitness can do what they want and if you don't like it then don't go - that is fine. Just make sure Planet Fitness doesn't try to hide in small print the fact that they will let men that identify as women into the women's locker room. If they fail to do that then that is sick and not fair to the customers. Then their clientele can reflect similar beliefs that they have and there is no problem.

I referenced info that your narrative at what happened was wrong, and you totally disregard and come up with more false info of what happened based on your feelings for issue.

If people she told then didn't care, then there would have been little problem. People complained before her, and after her. Yes she complained more, I am not saying they were wrong to cancel her membership, just that what you are saying happened didn't happen anywhere close to the way you are saying.
