But, Jeff, no-one is decimating them now. They marginalise themselves with their ridiculous behaviour and self-pitying attitudes. Jeff, we need to draw a line in the sand. At what point does environment/luck stop and ethics/organization/ingenuity begin? If you are claim that 100% should be given to environment/luck then you are missing the point and purposefully ignoring the world as it exists today.

The western world gives billions of dollars to the supposed "unlucky" every year (my tax dollars btw (and future generations debt burden [wake up millenials])). Is the self-shaming suppose to go on forever? At what point do you say: "we've given you vaccines for your diseases, we've sent you food to eat, we send supplies after the tsunami, we send aid after the hurricane - when are you people going to support your own needs?"

Geographical determination is over. Time to start faulting the culture.

How long should it take?

If they made some attempt to get their shit together, it wouldn't have to happen at all. It is one of those situations where millions of help gets poured into a black hole (so to speak), for precious little result. But that's socialism for you. Policies need to be judged by their results, not their intentions.

Jeff - is it always some outside force keeping black-ruled countries down? Can't they ever do something to make the country prosper? What black-controlled country has done the best at becoming a prosperous one? Is there any?

Invented Algebra? I was indifferent before but now I do hate them.
