Bonham- Solid week of training, nice ladder workout on Friday.
Rushed- Nice 800s workout. My times usually go the other way when I do that workout (sigh).
Themack- Nice half man.
Team Bartowski- Hope you're recovered and the 5K went well.
Pablo- Thanks, and thanks for the facebook messages. I appreciate that you usually manage to offer a different perspective on my injury issues and it usually leads to me making a smarter/conservative treatment approach. Seems like you are building up your training pretty conservatively as well, hope your runs this week are going well.
King hobbyjogger- Nice race considering everything. I lived in Chicago from 2006-2009 so whenever I see someone posting about races in the area I become a little nostalgic.
Grizz- The winter seemed almost over, then it snowed today, sigh. I guess if I am going to be injured in May, this is a good year.
NJ Truth- That's quite an awesome double you had last weekend. Sorry to hear you are having IT issues again and unfortunately I have a pretty good idea of what you are going through. Also, thanks again for all your advice on the thing. My issues have taking a turn for the worse so I am back on the cross-training routine, but I really do feel my hips/quads getting stronger from all the exercises so maybe it's just a matter of letting my knee/IT heal to the point where I can run on it. (and just rehab/strengthen the neighboring areas as well as maintaining fitness in the meantime)
Easy weeks- Welcome, and that's not a bad starting point at all! I started running again 5 years ago and think I stopped after 2 miles in 20 minutes. Just keep at it and take it easy when you need to. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
The Angel of Death- Nice first week back. 100+ next week?
Cyhawk- Not a bad week starting back up. You'll be knoocking out 6s for 5-6 mile tempo runs before you know it.
John Berryman- Good to see that you appear to be healthy now and can slowly build up.
Muebele- Not a bad week building back up.
Has been who never was- Good luck on the goals. They look pretty realistic given your recent 5Ks.
Reed- Welcome!
GNR1- Welcome back. Hope you will have better luck finding time to run and string together some solid training.
