Age: 40s; mpw: 45+/-, but can be as low as 25; no racing, just enjoy running and the health benefits, including weight management (beer is the best); most runs are done before work or mid-morning on weekends.
early am: toast w/ butter and coffee, run
breakfast: usually eggs & toast w/ butter or oatmeal with walnuts/raisins; plus a banana most mornings at some point
mid-morning: greek yogurt with frozen or fresh fruit; when rushed in the am, yogurt becomes breakfast and am snack is skipped
lunch: either PB&J or turkey sandwich w/ cheese; sometimes dinner leftovers; apple or orange; occasionally carrots
pm snack: almonds, maybe another piece of fruit
dinner: beef, chicken, pork, buffalo, fish; salad or veggies (cooked in olive oil) every night; sweet potato 1-2x a week; usually a grain, but sometimes just meat and veggies; pasta sauces will have sausage or beef; burritos with beans, buffalo, chili; usually 1x/week we skip meat - beans/rice or tofu/veggies.
dessert: cookies, ice cream, sometimes nothing
beer or red wine almost every night
other than eating out, all/most meat is grass-fed, no hormones, antibiotics, etc.
bread is local - 3-4 ingredients, mostly wheat, but I'll choose 3-4 ingredient white or sourdough bread over whole wheat bread with a bunch of preservatives
frequent visits to the pub include burgers/fries, fish/chips, wings/fries - whatever sounds good
