I started this thread over a year ago and look law and behold...Jordan Hasay has moved up to the 10000m. Hmmmm yet when I responded to another poster and stated the samething I was told I was crazy that she shouldn't and won't move up to the 10000m!

Guess I was right just like when I predicted the first two women almost 2 years before they did it: Tirunesh Dibaba and Elvan Abeleygese would be the next two women to run sub 30 minutes for 10000m. Even when one (Tirnesh)had never ran the 10000m and the other (Elvan) had just ran 3:58 for 1500m.

What do u mean? Are you saying I need to move up to a more appropriate job with people who match my ability, or else I'll be out because of the discord? If so, I think you might be right.

I don't think you were wrong. First, there was a desperation to get anything. Then there was the opportunity that seemed good - access to resources that would someday lead me to my ultimate goal. But now things have become clearer that in one month I'm not going to have my max yrly time. I'll be working 80/week which means forget time/extra funds on the side to pursue why I came here in the first place.
As soon as I asked for more help they decided to micromanage every hour of my time which simultaneously rejecting streamlined processes I was hired to build. Fine, reject it for reasons like no funds or staff. But the reason is that this person thinks my job is fun and doesn't want to have centralized planning which is a pain for me. Her withholding information adds hours to my workday and drains the team.
The head coach and I get along great but he rarely has time to talk to me. So the bottleneck is my direct superior who is best friends with the person I'm supposed to go to if I have a problem with my superior. Ha! The meeting was so biased I couldn't finish my sentences. I got bs about how I need to serve this chick. I'm sorry - not at the expense of the entire team.
OP, good call but what made you say the 10000m and not 5000m or steeple?
