The major review was commissioned by East Angelia University, which stood to lose millions in grants and its status of the #1 AGW facility in the world if it found corruption. Lord Oxburgh did not interview any critics, only members of the CRU staff. His entire team spent only 15 person/days doing this investigation. The interviews consisted entirely of CRU staff. "Did you do something wrong?" "No." "Well, we've cleared that up. Moving on..." The other investigations were done by panels of politicians or organizations that had a vested interest in the outcome... Pennsylvania University, the EPA, the House of Commons, etc.
How do you explain the code I cited in an earlier post? How do you explain YAD061? If you remember, the #1 study in the world used to prove global warming was Briffa's study of Bristlecone pine tree rings in the Yamal province of Russia. Out of dozens of tree samples, Briffa picked 10 to prove global warming. One of those ten trees was YAD061.
Look at YAD061 in the linked charts.
YAD061 shows a greater temperature increase than any other tree in the study... about 8 times more than the average. Critics point out that this could have been due to YAD061 growing up in the shade of another tree that died around 1930.
This is what started the whole AGW movement. Briffa cherry-picking only ten trees and then including one tree that skews the entire data outcome.
The computer models that show "the debate is over" have failed to predict the lack of global temperature rise since 1997.
Climate change has more in common with a cult religion than true science.
