My argument was that there was not great reason to believe that this article was credible. Given what we hear about the Kenyan's attitudes towards the Ethiopians and Kenenisa especially, and things Kenyans have said about them in the past, I would say that this newspaper article could only be held to the smallest degree of credibility, and therefore probably not a reliable source of information. Another thing: why would it be announced that Kenenisa would compete at Prefontaine if it was known that he was having these problems?

I can't believe people are taking this article so seriously.

Listen, in all likelihood, you're not even a runner. While it's easy for a fat ass to come on this website and post 'lousy and totally unintelligent' remarks, it's another thing to be the 'god' of the running world and become WR holder in multiple distances like Bekele.

So get out and run a fraction of his pace and distance before you try to diminish his accomplishments.

I spoke to a respected Kenyan the other day about this topic of Bekele and his "struggles", and he said that Bekele lies about stuff like this. He was insistent that Bekele "lies", and he kept saying it. I would not put it past Kenenisa to play this up and then bust out with a great race.
