Mottram will probly win a medal in Bejing. I wouldnt be suprised if he won the gold. Im gonna get shit for saying this, but honestly it wouldnt suprise me.
It wouldn't surprise you, you need to pay closer attention to championship races.
Runners like Bekele, Choge, Songok and Kipchoge each have a dozen ways to beat Mottram. It really doesn't matter how the race unfolds -- he isn't going to win Beijing.
The fact that he breat Bekele once is interesting and exciting. Even for those of us who find his personality annoying, it's always a good thing for the sport when the top performers are getting challenged. It's just too bad that he has no class -- his attitude is entertaining, but kind of laughable. Sort of like pro wrestling. All this win means is that his great days are as good as Bekele's bad days. That's saying something, but not as much as he suggests.
Soon enough, he'll find himself in a *major* race where everyone is there to put in their best. Let's see what he's saying if he goes "one-on-one" with Bekele in Osaka next year.
