chances are it wasn't apparent that he wasn't able to race well. let's be honest, these guys: Webb, Scott, Flynn are all way smarter than you about running and wouldn't have put him in an injury situation like this. Chances are Webb felt a little something right before the 2M, figured it would pass, but got worse as the race went on. He took a little time off the next few days and got it massaged out, and felt a lot better, ran the Pre Mile and it came back even worse. Now it is starting to not look so great even though the past preventive measures helped out a bit - so best to take some time off and let it fully heal. Now does it make sense?
