The announcer said Combe is headed to Stanford, but reports say she signed with Arkansas.
She going to Arkansas. Find any post race video and she's wearing Arkansas cap.
As soon ad the announcer stated Combes had run 5 races this past weekend the bear jumped on her. But still 4:32 is not bad.
I heard that Combe is running the 800 at Brooks PR and then either the 800 or 1500 at USATF U20. Not sure if Combe will have another chance to break 4:30 this year.

55.3 and 9:44, figure she could go 2:01? Is that too optimistic? Maybe 2:02 high is more realistic.
Closing in 64 off that pace is realllllly impressive. She looks tiny next to Combe and Hennessy. I’d love to see her go for the national record. I didn’t think anyone would come anywhere close to Hedengren’s 4:23.50 for a while.. I think she has a slight chance to get it; it’s still May!!

It’s June. The 4th.
I need to go to bed - for some reason I haven’t processed June has started.
Heres the big one. Could have a ton of guys under but i'm not optimistic, stacked races are rarely fast races. I'm gonna guess 3:56 high FTW from Jackson followed by 2-3 guys under 4. I think we can all agree Webb's record is not gonna happen tonight.

I wonder how it feels to finish first in a race as a pro and to have run a decent time but still be beat by a high school junior. Maybe ouch, but also high schoolers are really maxing the limits. That high school girls have to run under 4:30 in the mile now to be considered ultra elite is CRAZY. Lincoln made it look easy. I hope she is saving something for her college years.

What would it feel like to lose to a sophomore at USAs? Quincy / Cooper

Hey, right on!
Brian Burns goes under. Is this the first sibling pair to both officially go under 4 in HS? Don't think A.Sahlman or the twins ever went under on a full mile.

Ellery Lincoln's parents were both pro runners. They know how to not burn out their daughter. Ellery will be fine.

I know, right. It is more a testament to how good high schoolers have gotten than any knock on the pros. 4:27 for a woman’s mile this early in the season is really good. I am happy that Rachel won. She has been steadily improving for a while. I am glad she got the win.

Yet Another sub-4 is added to the list. Carter Smith - 3:59

Not 2:01. Maybe 2:02.
Both Combe and Paige Sheppard are running USATF U20 in either the 800 and 1500. It will be interesting to see if they decide to run against each other, or if they pick different races to give each of them the best chance of making the U20 world team.
