I wonder.if engaged influencers Allie O and Spencer Brown are going to race. They still haven't registered.
It’s either going to be Wilson or Curtis and maybe Bharadwaj
Not this again :/ why does it make me respond to the wrong thread

Conner Mantz is shown on entries.
Mantz announced that he’s injured so he won’t be racing, unfortunately.

Tuohy doesn't mind, they are training partners.
Registration closes in about 15 hours so I doubt we will get more than a couple more registrations. Unless there is some big name out there just waiting to surprise everyone with an entry at midnight, I think we have our fields set.
Currently:
Men 10K - 122 entries (select 6)
Women 10K - 76
Men 2K - 33 (select 2)
Women 2K - 13
Men 8K U20 - 50 (select 6)
Women 6K U20 - 31

Addy Wiley throws her hat into the ring in the 2K! That shakes things up! Pretty much saw this coming after she ran a cross country race a couple weeks ago.
And Allie Ostrander in the 10K
Very good men's field just became great with the late addition of Woody Kincaid.
Believe all the men's 5k & 10k Olympians from 2021 and 2025 -- save Grant & Joe -- are now running.
Plus the fastest-rising distance guy over the past 2 years in Drew Hunter.
Plus the top collegian in Rocky Hansen.
We know that Klecker & other NY marathoners would not have enough time to recover for the Dec 6th race even if they wanted to run it.
Despite getting so much publicity, very questionable Mantz would be top-6 so soon after Chicago, even if he did not get injured. He admitted post-Chicago he probably is not as good at xc as he was in college.
And, very questionable Hocker would make any 10k team -- but was hoping he'd race the 2k.
Frankly, only one missing who would be considered a top-6 favorite is Grant.
This will be a great men's 10k xc team, far more accomplished as 10,000 track racers than the "Miracle on Dirt" team which won Silver back in 2013 led by Ben True & Chris Derrick.

Is this the first year that we are actually having a 2K race to determine the mixed relay team?
In 2024, this was the procedure:
Athletes and/or their coaches must indicate desire for selection by contacting ------- via email at ---------@usatf.org no later than February 15, 2024.
Athletes under consideration will be selected on the basis of their highest World Athletics results score in the disciplines of 1500-meters, Mile, 3000-meters, or Two-Miles earned between March 1, 2023 and February 18, 2024, as included on the athlete’s World Athletics Profile.
Performances at 1500-meters, Mile, 3000-meters, and Two-Miles will be converted and ranked according to their point value using the current version of the World Athletics Scoring Tables of Athletics (https://www.worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/documents/technical-information).
Athletes will be selected according to their highest point value.
You're not entered? Why?
I look forward to not seeing you in Portland this weekend.

You’re a dufus. Get a life.
Are you going to post this a hundred times today like you did yesterday?

What courses are you a professor of, Barrett? It seems as if you a college professor somewhere you would at least know how to spell "definitely." I don't believe it's a typo because you have spelled it the same way numerous times.
Why aren't you on the list of entries?
Apparently they are letting Macchia run the U20 race, even though she can't run in Florida. Perhaps others in the field have same issue?

USATF should do something in the u20 races to distinguish who is and who isn't eligible for Worlds in January so that Worlds-eligible runners will know who they are really competing against for a spot on the team.
I suggest two different bib colors.
