some of the best distance runners in the US; but I wish Kef/CulP/Gouch were in the race.

27:20 pace right now
keep the macias splits coming pleeease
27:20 pace
65s/lap=27:05
4:22=65.5 laps (so 27:17.5 pace)
5:28 for 2K is 2:44 per kilometer. They are close to on pace.
2:45 per 1k puts them at 27:30, so they're on pace for 27:20 right now.
64s = 26:40
66s = 27:30
68s = 28:20
I believe a 5:28 2k is a 27:20 10k pace; hopefully they stay at the same pace. This could be interesting.
they're on about 27:30 pace right now

Rupp has even run sub-13:30
*hasn't even run sub-13:30
I'm not gonna lie, Rupp doesn't impress me that much. He's had more opportunities than probably any other runner in the NCAA, but I have yet to see many results that put him to the god status so many give him. Either he doesn't perform that well and people make excuses, or he's injured. Put him up against Solinsky or someone like that right now, and I'm betting he would get rolled. Yet as far as I know, Chris didn't take a year off of school to be a pseudo-pro athlete with his own personal coach. Even some of the guys who get less credit than Solinsky (Fagan, Benninger, Woods, Overall) would probably deal him a whooping or at least give him a close race.
wonder if they'll get it!
4:22 would be a shade under 13:40 for 5k, so about 27:20 pace if I'm not mistaken. So they were near AR pace after a mile. I bet it really slows down in the middle though.
