Actually, I only gave two examples of your hyperbole. The point about Tergat was simply to show that you aren't very clever. It may have been another poster's point, but you "interpreted" it so you are responsible for its content. The phrase "their runners" was yours, and indicates that you claim to know the minds of more than one Japanese runner. Your words, your hyperbole. Are you denying that you said "the media are all over this thing" and that you made no qualifications of that statement? That's pretty stupid. Let me repost your comments in their entirety:
Sorry to disappoint you, but the media are already all over this thing, as usual. The newspapers have been running stories for days, including special pullout sections devoted to the race. And there will certainly be quite a few pages printed following Monday's race. And I've got to believe there will be a picture from Boston on the cover of at least one running magazine in the coming weeks. Also, I would love to report on the hours of pre-race, wire-to wire, and post-race television coverage from the THREE separate channels covering the race, but I'll be out on the roadside doing some support work.
Please point to the word "local" in that post. Since you can't perhaps you ought to concede the point that, as Bum and I were discussing the international impact of the race, any interjections carry the implication that you are referring to international media. If you were talking about local media you should have said so.
