If and when Mottram moves up to the Marathon, then We will see what he is really capable of.
Your right, we will see what he is made of, but don't be like so many of these typical posters that think justcause he is a good track runner it will translate into being a good marathon runner. The transition is only about 5%.
What happens when they do move up is they cant handle the miles from years of banging out intensity.
Haile is an exception but doubts still arise from a guy who gets older, misses time with surgery and still keeps coming back better than ever.
Anyone that runs knows it is harder as you get older but yet for 15 years he has trained/ raced hard and getting better. Come on, the body is not designed to be able to go for that long period.
Anyone can also tell you that when you miss time with op's etc.. it takes time to get back, he always seems to be able to bounce back too quickly.

I think he may have found his distance. I don't think the marathon is on his radar, and really, why should it be.

5% off being a 2hr 30min marathoner!!!! What do you think it means moron? A good marathoner is sub 2 hours 9mins and guys that run 13min 5km or 27min 10km find it hard to translate that into a sub 2.09 performance
