That's not that fast.

I beg to differ. Ten minute miles are quite remarkable when running over fifty miles a day.

That is pretty fast after all those days of 50 plus miles. Not convinced that tracker is on her.
The tracker has her going even faster at 8 mph this morning:

Even record holder Pete K did not run many miles that fast.

Maybe it is and she is on an electrical scooter.
http://www.extremescooters.biz/images/products/detail/Evo1000.jpgIt was already pointed out earlier in this thread that her crew has bicycles.
There is no reason for the tracker to not be on. They have banked huge miles already without being live tracked.

Where do you see the speed on her tracker?
And yes these scooters could be a great possibility.
That's why we need cadence and heart rate too.

Her excuse for not using a chest strap is that it is too uncomfortable. This is all the more reason that the live tracker was ESSENTIAL to have any modicum of credibility. She knew this. She stated almost a year ago that Guinness World Records was insisting upon it. But Guinness World Records is a Brit organization, and they may ignore her transgression. Without public awareness and outcry, she quite possibly will get away with fraudulent tracker logging.

Ah, the thread has now been deleted on Ultra Running Community on FB.! LOL. What a pathetic group. Any one else want to try? I don't use fb
Gary Kiernan has recreated a post on Mimi over at the Ultra Running Community Facebook page to allow for discussion. I think it's too hard to have a share thread for Mimi on LRC since we are making comparisons with Sandra's higher quality data.

Wrong, when supposedly running 53 miles day after day.

The speed is on the right side of this page:
http://www.racedrone.net/event/mimi-runs-across-the-usaSome have speculated that there is something wrong with the trackers, but looking at how fast she has moved over time I think the speeds shown are accurate. There have been multiple high readings this morning. My guess is that they edit the speeds to be more reasonable prior to uploading to Strava.

This is rare race of two different runners running separate routes at the same time with the possibility one, or both, beat the Guinness record, or the faster unofficial record. Mimi is the well decorated hare. Sandy is the tortoise.
I only see Speed 6. What does that mean?

Speeder: If you would have left me alone, I would have gotten home.
Copper: Well no, you going the wrong way.
Speeder: Well even then I would have found it.
PS. Never, never, never, argue with a grandmother. You will always lose.
Markus, since you are posting in the URC thread, can you mention to Gary that Mimi and her team were in full cell phone coverage territory yesterday (such as the AT&T network) and the Race Drone tracker can transmit on virtually any network as evidenced by the fact that both their RV and support car trackers were transmitting at alternating times yesterday. So I don't buy the cell phone connection excuse at all.

Bunch of triggered Brits (and west Brits) over in the Ultra Running Community on FB. Some legend came in and linked to this thread and those losers are going nuts in support of Marvellous Mimi !!!
Yes, and the legend was immediately thrown out of the group for a polite and valid post simply linking to this thread! That group is unbelievable.
I'm amazed the thread is still there. (They claim the posters profile must be fake as it's only a week old, but the poster clearly states with transparency that they only joined fb to post in the group. That breaks no rules and you are not required to use a photo of yourself as a profile photos, fb isn't a f***ing passport!)
Playing out just like the R. Young fiasco; similar Facebook fan behavior back then.
The Mimi defenders clearly have NOT read this thread, and are just harping on about how "Marvellous" she is judged on her past races.
Yes, she has indeed had some very good results and is a good runner, but you don't just put your blinkers on and ignore this very real issue just because she's good.
Even if they've read it, just as previously with Rob Young, they went on and on back then in denial, long after it was obvious the dude was cheating.
This lack of live tracking is a huge issue.
Live tracking is ESSENTIAL through the whole crossing. That is the whole point of LIVE tracking. Turning it on and off, for any supposed excuse, is simply not credible. No way.
Some are defending her saying there is no signal out there.....Rubbish excuse.
Has the tracker sponsor been alerted then on their apparently crappy live tracker system, which they advertise to work virtually anywhere?!?
The Strava data alone is just not enough, and if they had bothered to read this thread they'd see why.
The Brit fb group is making out it's simply America hating Brits.
So if Mo F was to attempt this, they would claim live tracking is not necessary for him as well?
She has severely messed up. Whether an intentional cheat or huge mistake, the fact remains this record attempt is deeply flawed and should be rejected as a record if she breaks it
She obviously knew what was required and has fallen well short.
The live tracker she is using is utterly useless for this attempt and she should have realised it wasn't suitable, if indeed there is a problem with lack of signal.
Why the radio silence? She should be stating WHY the tracker is not on
^agreed
