Unknown(?) Local Runner Claiming to be Shooting for US Woman's 10 Mile Road Record

Ok, so:

WHAT LETSRUNNER WILL BE THERE???

we need someone to take pics/video or hopefully run the race with the lead women.

All this is getting weirder and weirder. The RD and sponsor are friends, they even went away together recently to run an ultra, yet the RD is now shifting everything on to the sponsor but is prepared to confirm everything re Jill running for AR, etc "Yes. I spoke with Jill yesterday, and she is feeling good." posted six hours ago on FB. Also, "Keep in mind that the Qakertown Rotary was not involved in this process, and everything was handled by our title sponsor" three hours ago and "I just spoke with the USATF course measurer..." an hour ago.

This sort of thing is why charities are having trouble raising money, people become suspicious and cynical, especially when they become aware of the past history of the good doctor sponsoring the event, but the RD is in on the scam too.

Jill asked me to pace her for the AR attempt. It's a really slow pace for me, but I would love to help out a fellow American record holder.

In that case you'll need a rear vision mirror, one that magnifies if you want to see Jilly.

You may see her at the start if she fronts up, which I doubt, but that's all.

In that case she'll be out front and the "course certifier" can keep an eye on her because according to the RD "We were told that he will ride in the lead car".

Quakertown Rotary We were informed that the course was measured by a USATF Road Course Certifier, the start/finish had to be moved slightly, and is now certified. The course certifier will also be on hand at the race. We were told that he will ride in the lead car, to verify the course is followed correctly.

So the RD and the good foot doctor would have us believe some unknown gal is going to show up and run almost three minutes faster than this gentleman did, over an exceptionally hilly course to boot, and break the women's 10 mile Amercan Record.

Sure, no problem.

I'm trying to figure out what she's capable of in the marathon, based on how much faster she is than Mr. Gillette. She is approximately 5% faster than him on the Quakertown course on a training run by herself. That would make her somewhere around 1:01 for the half marathon on a fast course, if you estimate her half marathon PR as 5% faster than him. If you put that into the McMillan calculator, she's a 2:09 marathoner.

When Jill turns her attention to the marathon, she'll break Paula's WR by at least 5 minutes.

I'm trying to figure out where are the Let's Run reporters/editors? Why are they not commenting on this story or doing some investigating? Perhaps there will be an opinion/analysis piece on Friday before the race.

All good. I was hoping someone could go spectate, maybe with a bike, to be able to document this as it "goes down."
