Trump does not have the ability to deal with secondary consequences of his decisions. Everything is in the moment. And he spends no time whatsoever thinking about what might happen if his brilliant decision goes sour. Why would he? His narcissism forbids him from entertaining the possibility that he might ever make a bad decision.
The war was supposed to be a quick bombing that would take out the Ayatolla and everything else would fall neatly into place. It irritates him to high hell that he has to keep thinking about this damn war. This is why heads are starting to roll of military leaders.

That was a failure to understand who chains of command work. There are over 30 segments to the command that can operate independently. Take out one and there are still 30 to go. That is way the biggest military blunder is, "Never start a land war in Asia!"

May 1st will mark 60 days since Trump notified Congress of his offensive actions against Iran, and by law, he is then required to obtain congressional approval to continue the war. Absent of that, he is only authorized to continue hostilities for another 30 days, and only in the context of leveraging defensive operations to cover the withdrawal of U.S. troops.
