He didn't ask about whether or not you would invest in it. I believe he was referring to how it hasn't become worthless in terms of share price as you predicted. On the contrary, it's performance has been strong.

For those interested in the Mag 7 but not sure which ones to buy, 2 alternatives:
VTI - Vanguard total stock market. 0.03 expense ratio. I would guess 27% is made up the Mag 7 and the rest pretty diversified. It mimics the broad market but is fairly conservative. Last year - its return was about 26%.
VUG - Vanguard Growth. 0.04% expense ratio. It has about 57% in its top 10 holdings - the Mag 7 and Visa and Eli Lilly. More aggressive than VTI. Last year it had a return of 47%.
So VTI return last year of 26% versus 47% for VUG but VUG did worse in 2022. A more volatile ETF.

They are more pure tech plays.
I am not able to past websites here but over the last 20 years, VUG has 17 up years and 3 down years.

My stuff is so solidly diverse now that that large winning percentage likely won't occur. It's really NOT as rare as you think though. It's just a line that you are either above or below against an arbitrary index. It's really how well you do over time that matters.

This economist thought as late as July 2023 that we were heading for lower employment and recession. Not yet! Employment has continued to improve and the economy is accelerating. So he looked at the strong numbers all around improving...and instead chose to look at his model. Classic economist error.
Arturo Estrella @intheyield The recession is right on track, according to today's employment number. Employment is still following the 7-recession average, dated from the time of the first 10y-3m spread inversion in each episode. Peak would come in November.

I expect with very high confidence that nobody will find a single one that did as well as Flagpole has claimed. I await the search results with much curiosity and anticipation.
I’d suggest the onus be on FP to conduct the search since he is the only one who believes his fantastic claim.

You want find a single one. Not one. The only tech companies in the Dow are AAPL, Cisco, IBM, MSFT and Intel. The rest of the stocks are fairly conservative. Joe Blow's portfolio is likely to have more tech than the Dow.
Look at how the Nasdaq did in 2022 and 2023 and the Dow in 2022 and 2023.

It lost 19% in 2022
and was up 24% in 2023.
Again, the losses for the S & P in 2022 are more severe than the Dow and the gain in 2023 was much greater than the Dow.
